For a similar non-summer prompt, earlier this year I read My Lady's Choosing: An Interactive Romance Novel, which was a lot of fun. For this summer-reading prompt, I read Witchmark, which was released earlier this week. Highly recommended!
I read Pines for Idaho, and I liked it enough that I'll be reading the next book in the trilogy.Another Idaho-set book just popped up in my Goodreads Deals for today: Idaho.
DragonGoddess wrote: "I'm half tempted to slog through Anna Karenina, it would actually cover 4 different prompts: A book that became a movie, Oprah book, book in translation, and set in a different continent. And maybe..."I'd count it as a forgotten classic. It's widely considered a classic, but it's not one that comes to mind right away if you aren't big on Russian lit.
I read Merry, Merry Ghost. It was a free holiday download from the publisher, so I gave Carolyn G. Hart another chance. Not making that mistake again.
I read The Life List by Lori Nelson Spielman. I didn't hate it, so apparently I was really in the mood for a predictable, sappy romance.
