more recently i read the The Botany of Desire: A Plant's-Eye View of the World by Michael Polan that changed my perspective on how certain plant have changed our world.
and Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand which while I feel we should help people in real need I find that society's entitlement perspective has tainted what is need.

thanks- it helps that i can "read" while driving/working outside-- it is amazing how listening to a book make things i used to dread (such as driving around) more enjoyable and sometimes even something to look forward to.
100 might be more difficult than i thought though i hit 50 early june and thought that i would have no problem reading another 50 but i have not been keeping pace so we will see- i may find myself the last week of the year holed up with my kindle just reading --- i guess there are worse ways to spend a week ;-)

I know I read another book since there is a 7 day break between the Wyndham Legacy and Voyager ( and I would not have read one historical romance after another)... but I cannot for the life of me figure it out -- must not have made much of an impression on me ;-)

ongoing Atlas Shrugged audio -- ( this is one long a** story 62 hours and I can only check it out for 3 weeks at a time and i usually only get about an hour of audio time a day if I'm lucky)

I too usually have an audio book and a physical (whether on my e-reader or actual paperback) I find my audio books keep me sane while driving and running around town. It allows me to relax instead of worrying about all the things i have to do. I will sometimes also have 1 non fiction book sitting off to the side that i ready periodically. I am at 28+ already this year...
I read Time Travelers Wife a few years ago and it is one of my favorites. i have even considered rereading and i never reread-- just too many books on my to read list.

Also jd robbIn Death series
both are fast reads but i thoroughly enjoy the characters and the writing style.
