"Cover for me?" Christine asked, glancing around at the other people in the pavilion.

Sky frowned, her full lips forming a pout. "You guys are no fun!" she complained.

"What?" asked Christine, not for clarification but because she was confused. "Well, so does literally everything else it sounds like. Plus we're inside the camp so it's not like they can get us. Right?"

Christine's mouth was full, so she just nodded, blushing. Then she swallowed. "Yeah it's really good," she replied. "These sandwiches are just like my mom used to make...still makes." She frowned, thinking of her mom who just be worried out of her mind. "Oh wait! I can just use my cell phone and call her! Silly me!" She laughed and dug around in her pocket, fishing out an iPhone.

Sky pulled him along to the water, then let go of his hand and canonballed in, sending up a splash. She resurfaced a few feet away, grinning. "Water feels great!" she called, not just to Victor but to the other girls as well, trying to convince them to join her.

Christine went and grabbed another sandwich and some chips before sitting back down. Finally the nearly constant hunger from the past few days was beginning to alleviate.

"All right, Mr.Comedian, are we going swimming or am I going to go by myself?" Sky asked good-naturedly, smirking.

Christine grabbed some strawberries and a sandwich. She sat down and ate them quickly. "That felt so good!" she exclaimed.

Christine followed, excited, and resisting the urge to hold Sam's hand. They'd just met after all.

Sky blushed a little bit as he took her hand, but luckily it was hard to tell with her complexion as she wasn't blushing that much. She walked to lake hand in hand with him. If Benny were here he'd probably say something to Victor, or tell Sky it didn't matter and he was just a flirt. Secretly Sky was glad Benny was somewhere else.

"Lead the way," Christine said.

Sky smirked. "I already said I was going to swim so sure," she replied, trying not to stare at his chest.

"I'm starving," Christine said. "Running from monsters and riding Pegasi works up an appetite. That and the fact I haven't eaten hardly anything in a few days. It's a wonder I haven't fainted more, actually."

Christine smiled and leaned her head against Nickel fondly. "So what next?" she asked.

Sky snickered as she tossed Alex the sunglasses. Victor was certainly interesting company. She glanced around the group one more time to see if anyone wanted to come with her.

Soon they arrived back at the stables and Christine slid off Nickel, grinning. "That was awesome!" she declared, patting Nickel's head to say how much she liked him.

"I'm going for a swim, anyone else want to come?" Sky asked, glancing toward the lake and taking off her sunglasses. "Also, would someone who's not swimming mind holding these please?"

Christine bit her lip. She wanted to do something crazy, like a backflip or a barrel roll, but she knew that'd drive Sam nuts. She did like that he had his arms wrapped around her, but it was probably just because he was afraid and for no other reason. "Back to the stables," she decided. For now, she added silently. She would be back, she knew.

"Maybe we should head back towards the stables," Christine suggested, noticing how he was definitely not okay.
