201767 I see that on goodreads they call Throne of glass also a retelling of cinderella in some lists.
And also the selection series. How do you guys feel about these books?
I also think mechenica by Betsy Cornwell and Bound by Donna Jo Napoli sound very intriguing!

201767 Okay so 2017 is comming up in only 19 days, so I thought is would be about time to make the decision.

So the fairy tale that we are going to be discussing and reading and reading retellings of in January is going to be...

CINDERELLA

Now lets decide which retellings we want to read/discuss!
I think we should pick 3, max. 4.

I propose:
1. Cinder by Marissa Meyer
2. Ash by Malinda Lo

Which books do you want to read and discuss during January, the Cinderella month?!

I do know them but haven't read them yet. I think it is a good idea to incorporate those! Then maybe it is a good idea to start of in januari with cinderella since the first part of the lunar chronicles is based on it. I think some people have read the lunar chronicles already but they can maybe reread them or just have one book that they dont have to read but can atill talk about!
Does anyone have other suggestions for cinderella retellings?

Sounds great! That one will definately go on the list! I think we wil, very likely, discuss beaty and the beast because it has a wide range of retellings
201767 When I was a child I really loved the little mermaid, beaty and the beast and cinderella. I also think that the little match girl is very beatiful.

Which fairytales are your favorite?

201767 Which fairytales (and which retellings of these fairytales) should we discuss during 2017, the year of the fairytale?

We are going to be discussing one fairytale every month, so we need a total of 12 fairytales!
