The thing with Bookbub at least in Romance is that they say you need so many reviews but when it comes down to it I think you need a lot more I have a friend who is a romance author and their book has nearly 100 reviews and has never been accepted by book bub. Also they take into consideration how often you lower the price to 99cents I was watching a series of videos by JA Huss about marketing and the perfect year and she said something about bookbub doesn't like it when your book is promo'd a lot so there is that too.

I have heard amazing things as well so I'm hoping for the best I will definitely keep you posted! Thanks! ❤️️❤️️❤️️

Thanks! Yeah no bookbub for me either I couldn't even come up with that kind of money in the first place. I about cried when I handed over $50 to ENT I have literally been having nightmares about it LOL! I requested with a bunch of free sites and I have a Book Raid, Awesome Gang, and Goddess Fish promo stacked for the same day. Plus my cover reveal for book 2 is the same day so I am hoping for the best!

Facebook marketing works for me i.e. Posting in promo groups and blog takeovers. I have a list of groups that I post in every day or every other day most of them are generic to all books but I have a few sci-fi groups as well as a few romance groups because I have written both. If anyone is interested I have a list of the ones I use.
I haven't seen much success with Facebook ads I got one preorder on a one day $10 ad. I wouldn't normally spend that much but I got a coupon through Facebook ads and decided to experiment.
I have a cover reveal coming up next week with Xpresso tours I have heard that they are the best. Even a very successful indie romance author uses them for her cover reveals. We shall see what happens.
Also I have stacked quite a few promos including ENT for my promo on the 30th so I'm hoping it will do well! I will let you all know what happens when I have more information!

Hmmm I believe I sent you an article on marketing over a week ago and haven't heard anything. But I could be wrong

Ok so last week I nearly hit one of my goals I had 3 pre-orders when I wanted 5 that was cool! At the end of the week my Facebook author page had a whopping 113 likes when I was reaching for 95 lol so stoked about that and between actual purchases and KU dls I got a total of probably 6 sales but it's hard to tell when you add in KU cuz they don't tell you that! So this week my goals are different because I have a cover reveal and a new release coming but I also watched a video series from JA Huss yesterday that tells you how to plan the perfect year. So, for me I have to:
1 write 3000 words a day for my next book
2 make at least three teasers that will work on multiple platforms
3 re-do all the giveaways and posts for my future Facebook takeovers!
And
4 plan some awesome giveaways!
Hope everyone is reaching their goals!!!

That's awesome Alex and Ben! I actually have some awesome news too! Along with my cover reveal (with Xpresso book tours who also don't accept everyone) I submitted for a bunch of promos on March 30th including ENT, Book Raid, Ebook Soda and Goddess Fish promotions. I got all of them! I finally got the e-mail from ENT this afternoon and almost started yelling excitedly in the middle of the gym. It feels so good when your book is accepted by companies who are proven to work! I have a feeling that this is going to be the longest 16 days of my life lol

It has been a little rough lol!

Thank you! No problem! I had a minor panic attack when I realized I didn't schedule it last night lol! Glad I remembered before it got too late lol!

Ok so I have a problem! I have two spring stories floating around in my brain! I think I am probably going to write both and see which I like better! Once I get them both written does anyone want to help me decide which one to submit? The ideas are for a sports romance and a Dystopian type romance I'm going to work on them now and try to get them written by Monday!

That's funny because that was the exact reason I liked the first one because I think him in profile leaves more to the imagination. Haha! You can't see his eyes and I think thats a big part of it. I always like imagining the eyes lol

Just wrote up a small article about facebook marketing and submitted it! Hope this helps!

I like the first one. I think though you need to be weary of showing the man's face. I have heard many readers say they don't like romance/erotica covers where they can see the mans face because it doesn't leave anything to the imagination. Readers like to be able to imagine the hero how ever they see fit and then when they see a man on the cover and he doesn't look the way they like they may not read the book. Just FYI but yes I like the first one with the gray couple!

Thanks Amy! I shared it!!

You put a fire under me and I started writing a small article on facebook marketing. Do you want me to add some links to places where I place my book daily to promote it?

Thank you both! I have heard horror stories about them completely removing books for people asking to price match it themselves so I'm leery of doing it myself lol

I think that's the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me! ❤️️❤️️❤️️

Awww thank you so much! Beautiful Sacrifice is similar and a friend told me that she liked this one better than Beautiful Delusions!
