"Sorry Maam, that credit card is declined as well." "Goddamn it! Are you stupid? Just run it again!" Helena exploded at the poor clerk behind the hotel desk. As soon as she said it she regretted it, but it did make her feel bad.
The clerk sighed but ran it again anyway. Ten times a day he dealt with idiot customers that had no money or expired cards. One day soon he was just going to start slapping people.
"Sorry, declined. Again." He replied feeling better.
"Fine! I'll just sleep on the streets then. Forget It!"
"Excuse me? I couldn't help but notice you were having some trouble? May I be of assistance?" It gave me some sort of perverse pleasure to be the architect of her fall, yet step in and offer her a life line.

Hey, could email someone with my books to submit? I have the information already sitting on a word doc lol
I like to spread mine out. I'll do two two day promotions and a single day. This give me three promotions once a month. Also I try to do midweek as I've heard that that's the best time. If you have several books you can do them alternately so one book is on one week one the next so on.
Well Erin, we can all register our interest, and then.... we will need to pick a date, probably two days in a row to make it easier to cover timezones etc.Can I ask how you used your free days Alex? I just a system on how I use mine and was curious about how you used yours
Okay, so if you're enrolled with Kindle Unlimited you get 5 free days of promotions per 90 days. I was thinking that we could all do our free day or days or a weekend together? If we got 10,20,30 authors all promoting their books as well as the others, we might be able to cross promote. If anyone is interested we could organize numbers and a date that everyone is happy with.
One of my best author friends, someone that has gone above and beyond with help & advice, kindly went out of her way (once again) to point me back in the right direction. She knows who she is (batman) & along with her (robin) I would still be banging my head against a wall. I won't name these two lovely ladies for fear of giving their ego's too much of a swell ;-)Self-promotion and social media are always easy to push aside and often gets forgotten when you're busy getting paid for other things immediately.
Don't forget social media and since I joined this group with 4 members the mods have gone above and beyond to provide a helpful and friendly place to help each other out.

Her asshole ex-husband was the one who took care of any financial needs she may have, she simply worked to keep herself amused.
First thing in the morning she was going to call her bank and let them know exactly what she thought of their service.
As she threw her wet clothes towards the hamper, Helena walked nude down the hall and into her luxurious bathroom, starting the bath running.
