Hi Alex,
I tried to respond but my browser kept timing out. Yes, volcanoes are as exciting in person. You are always wondering, what if it goes off right ... now?!? And they are mostly in gorgeous natural settings which is a nice bonus.

Absolutely! I try to focus on just enjoying the process and using that as my measure of success instead of on sales numbers. Maybe that means I'm not pushing my books as hard, but I'm still having fun which makes me much happier :)

201765 Hi Ruth,
I'm sure you have a lot of options by now, but if you are looking for a quick read I have a collection of short stories that may interest you. Below is the blurb, let me know if you are interested:

The Games You Cannot Win
Roll the dice, pick a card, tell a lie, hide the truth. Whatever the move, it's all just part of the game. Follow the lives of four very different characters who are all trapped in an insidious game. Each story delves into the intricate web of misaligned motives and obscured half-truths.

Thank you for adding my books and author's page so quickly. I did notice an error in the bio, please use the content below:

MK Williams is an Indiana-born, Philadelphia-raised, Florida-transplant working and living beneath the sunny, and often rainy, skies of Tampa. Williams' writing influences include a lifetime of watching suspenseful mysteries and action movies and reading Stephen King, Ian McEwan and J.K. Rowling. Thank you!
201765 I have two books out, one is a thriller and the other is contemporary fiction. Below are the details on both:

Nailbiters
https://images.gr-assets.com/books/14...

In the wake of a recent invasion, Dora, a scared, strong human is searching for safety as the human population is systematically hunted down and tagged. On a deserted stretch of road her run comes to an end and she is captured and catapulted into a world of vicious bargains and survivalism. Follow her journey from freedom to servitude and addiction and back again as she learns what the alien invaders are after and why no one can stop biting their nails. Nailbiters will engulf you in the early post-apocalyptic world of alien occupation and make you question what it really does mean to be human.

201765 I've seen several articles like this before and I'm sure it won't be the last. One of the local arts magazines in my area recently published an article with a similar (false) conclusion that all self-published books are bad. Then the rest of the magazine focused on local bands who are trying to get the CDs recorded in their garages out to the people, and experimental plays that are performing in non-traditional theaters. The fact that they couldn't see the irony astounded me.
