Carmel, Was it The Start Up? Just curious because I received an invitation from them the other day on my most recent article. However, since it actually got curated by Medium, only my second article to be so lucky, I didn't want to lose that, so I ignored their invitation. Hugs

Here's a question for all, but one Dale might best answer, only because you write for publications more than anyone else here, I believe. (I apologize if I've offended anyone)

Dale has done much research in determining how we get paid on Medium. I have published to a few publications but did not notice a monetary increase or additional readers.

My question is if you publish to a publication, do they take their cut AND Medium takes their cut? I've noticed more new publications popping up and am curious how payment to the writer is processed between them and Medium. If they both take a bite out of our earnings, I prefer to publish solely to Medium. Hugs to All

Erica, I can see everyone else's story on this page, but yours, no matter what story. All your stories lead to an "unavailable" screen. I can see my profile, but cannot find you on Medium. Yes, something is wrong. Hope it's fixed soon. Hugs

I finally fixed the plot hole, which provided me with so much more story. Given my painful back issues right now, I write when I can, which isn't often.

Thank you for your help. I'm writing in MS Word. My current file is a formatted template I downloaded 3 years ago from CreateSpace. I guess I should change that based on what others are advising.

Yeah... I'll go with that, too. Ha, ha! Actually, my back issues have slowed down my writing. I'm lucky to squeeze out one article per week on Medium and I haven't done much at all on my novel. Hugs
