201765 I'm glad to hear the takeovers went well for everyone. I'd love to participate next time, just couldn't commit this time as I'm crazy busy getting high schoolers through AP testing. Some day I'll write a book about all the excuses, the pleas, and the crazy things that go wrong even when you think everything is so perfectly organized. Actually, the Chinese test I proctored yesterday would probably fill a book all on its own.
Congratulations to all who participated!

201765 Amazing work on the banners for D.J. If you'd like to try your hand at mine, I'd be grateful.

I have a new release as of last Friday, Anchored in Misty Lake. It's the fourth in the series, the first three are
Misty Lake
The Inn at Misty Lake
Misty Lake in Focus

Whatever you want to do...just the new release or work in all of the books. I'd love something catchy to help promote the new one :)
Please let me know what else you need.

Thanks in advance!

201765 Anchored in Misty Lake (Misty Lake, #4) by Margaret Standafer Release day is here! The fourth book in my Misty Lake Series, Anchored in Misty Lake, is available today. It's been a long haul, and I can't tell you how thrilled I am to be at the finish line. The books in the Misty Lake Series are clean, romantic suspense novels set in Northern Minnesota, centering around the McCabe family. I hope you'll take a look.

Oh, and thrilling to me was the fact that BookBub sent out a new release notice. Not that I have many followers, but still exciting.

201765 I've mentioned them occasionally, just references. As Theodore stated, I'd never put words in their mouths. And keep in mind referencing current celebs really dates your work so if you're trying to avoid pinning it down to a very specific time, I'd avoid even naming them.

Well, that stinks! Of course, the ideas come when you're feeling too lousy to do anything with them. Maybe if you can rasp out a few words, you can record your ideas? I did that once when I couldn't face looking at the computer screen because my head was pounding. Feel better!

201765 I like 17 but don't love the font used for the title. Also like 18.
I don't care for 16, too much red.
Good luck!

201765 Thanks, Ted, it's a struggle for me to choose excerpts from my books whether it be for posting on a website or reading out loud to a group. I recently did a reading at my local library and I don't even want to tell you the amount of time I spent fretting over the excerpt I chose.

201765 I did the same thing, opened new files for the remaining books in my current series, in hopes of keeping the continuity in the series. I haven't tried a paperback with KDP, but hope that if the change happens, the process and product are similar to what is currently available with CreateSpace. I'm not good with change!!
