I've often wondered about all these awards people plaster on their book covers. To be honest, I think that looks a bit amateurish and have always suspected it probably does little to nothing for sales, unless it's a major award like a Caldecott. But I'm the voice of supposition in this, and you're clearly the voice of experience.

I just hope it's a positive thing that happens."Positive things are happening all the time, but often they're unobtrusive and we don't notice them. When you do notice, you may be able to take something little and spin it into a big story. ;-)
Sent you an email, Erica. We have a ton of coloring books and some children's books we published through our company and can't seem to get rid of. I'd be happy to donate some to the cause, and maybe a few other titles as well.

I think I may have gotten one sale once upon a time from there, although it probably wasn't for my book. It was probably for someone else's that we published through our company. We've had sales in the U.S., Canada, Great Britain, Germany, France (I think), Japan (I think), Australia, and New Zealand. We once got a big order from some other South Pacific place, but that turned out to be a scam.
I have a little mystery tale in this week's IU flash fiction contest, where a dog plays a starring role of sorts. Read the stories here.

Thank you!

Seek Perfection I posted this one on my own, not through Writing Cooperative, but it's about writing. I'm curious to see how much reach I can get for it that way as compared to through WC, so please share it around. Thanks!

I like the orange better, but I seem to be in the minority. I just don't like the green in this context; it doesn't fit the theme very well. I don't think there is any problem with contrast with the orange. I can read it just fine. The only contrast problems are with the white lettering and the white lightening.
