I enjoy dipping shrimp in cocktail sauce, but I wouldn't want to cause your membership to dip. So . . . ignore me, everyone. Joshua is the most serious bookster (and shrimpster) you've ever met. Hey, why is everyone laughing at that?
I've been accepted as a writer by the Medium publication "Curiosity Never Killed the Writer." (What a name!) I've submitted my first story to them, so we'll see how that goes. They have a much larger following than Lit Up, 35K vs 6.7K, so I'm hoping this will give me a boost. I'll let you know what happens once I have a sense of it.
I haven't bothered asking for votes for quite some time, but this is a low-vote week for everyone so I have a shot at winning if I get just a couple more. If you could, before 8:00 PM EST tonight (Thursday, 1/3/2019), visit this page and vote for my little racing story. Thanks!
From December's LitUp writing prompt: Christmas Future. The prompt was to write a flash fiction story about one or more of the ghosts from A Christmas Carol.

Get better, and try eating something worthwhile if you can.
Another one for all you stargazers: What the Eye Doesn't See: The huge, invisible wonders of the night sky
Or, since it's science fiction, have it be Arcturan pickle relish, which everyone knows is so light that even a helium balloon would have trouble staying afloat in it.;-)

Erm . . . I don't know for sure. I expect most of them are under 1,000 words. Medium puts an estimated reading time on them. A lot of mine fall into the 4 - 5 minute range, although some of my short stories are shorter than that. I don't worry too much about length. I let the material be as long as needed for what I want to say . . . edited, of course, to keep things from bogging down.
