I'm sure you'd be great, Alex! We all share ideas anyway ;) I won't pressure you into it though haha. I suck at Twitter so I understand.

201765 Thanks, Alex! I know you aren't a Facebook guy but we're hoping to spread over to Twitter soon too.

201765 This is going to be a long post, so I'll apologise now, but there is so much to share with you!
As I mentioned a few days ago, there is going to be a lot happening on the Navigating Indieworld Facebook page. We're bringing a new structure to it, there will be a discussion post going up every day that allows for different promotion and help topics each day of the week. It will follow the same pattern every week, unless we decide to shift a few things round while it's still new. The page is here https://www.facebook.com/NavigatingIn...
To better explain, I'll just share the posts here so you can see what I mean-

Monday- Recommended Read
Today you can share one of your favourite books and tell us what’s so great about it! Feel free to talk about your own work. One post per person please, it’s hard to choose a favourite but there’s always next week.

Tuesday- Resource Pool
Today we’re talking about resources, please post below if you are looking for a service or offering your own. This includes cover designers, beta readers, editors, formatters, guest posts, interviews, reviews and anything else you might need. You can also share other useful information such as blogs or websites that may come in handy. Please stick to one post each.

Wednesday- Question Time
Are you in need of some advice? Got a burning question that must be answered? Whether it’s about the writing process or publishing (or even nothing to do with writing at all) we’ll all help to find the answer. This is also an opportunity to request a blog post on a specific topic for navigatingindieworld.com if you’d like a step by step guide or a more detailed answer. If you want to ask questions about your own work, you can post up to 500 words and ask for feedback on it. One post each please!

Thursday- Social Share
Post a link to one of your social media sites, website or blog. Let’s all support each other and be generous with the likes, follows, comments and shares. Readers, we want to see what you are doing too! Link your business site, YouTube channel, or Twitter feed that just has pictures of your cat, we love it all. Please only post one each.

Friday- Let’s Celebrate!
It’s the weekend, so let’s start on a high! Tell us all about the good things that have happened this week, we want to hear about your wins and celebrate with you.

Saturday- Open Chat
Today there’s no set topic, you can discuss or promote anything you want. Within reason, of course, nothing offensive please. Make sure to stick to the usual one post limit and if you are promoting, only add one link so we aren’t too overwhelmed with content. Thanks, and have fun!

Sunday- Set Some Goals
What are you aiming to achieve over the next week? You’ll be much more likely to do it if you’re accountable. Let us know what you are aiming for and come back next week to tell us how it went and set your next target. Let’s get behind each other and make some great things happen!

As you can see, I've tried to keep our group flavour by using things like the 'something good' and 'goals' threads that we already love!

Also, each topic is open enough to allow readers to join in. One of the main things we want to achieve with this is getting real interaction and connection between authors and readers in a way that will benefit both. Please participate whenever you can, the more people see we are active, the more they will want to join in.

These will always be posted in the mornings and I'll be adding evening ones in soon that include fun questions, promo pieces, call to actions for other areas of Navigating Indieworld, and inspirational quotes.
I'll also be posting two of the blog go round interviews each week, which should get us some more views on them. Please check my Pinterest board here https://uk.pinterest.com/KayMacLeodBo... to make sure yours are all on, I'll be using this to find them. DM me a link if any are missing.
I'd also like to do something else that involves you guys, at the minute I'm thinking a 'words of wisdom' segment where you can send in snippets of around 100 words with a tip, inspiration or idea to share. I'm open to other ideas though if you have one.

There is also a Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/17603... please join as we will be using this to do takeovers in the near future!

We are starting daily posts on WEDNESDAY so please drop by.

Yes, that's a lot to say, so let it all sink in... Then let me know what you think! I know I'm excited ;)

Woohoo, congratulations, Alex!!

201765 Hi guys!
My name's Kay, I'm from England. I've released one epic fantasy novel and I'm most of the way through the second in the series now. I work crazy shifts, play bass for my worship team at church and try to stop my husband and cat having wrestling matches all over the house (the cat usually wins). I spend the rest of my time writing and I love it :)

I've joined the Facebook group.
And if you are thinking about being our Tweeter- go for it! This team is awesome and you'll love doing it ;)

Cat memes are the best thing about Facebook ;)
Mar 17, 2017 04:21AM

201765 Awesome, thanks!
Mar 17, 2017 04:13AM

201765 I think it depends on the site, as long as you respect their individual rules. If it isn't clear that they accept this kind of promotion then don't do anything that will get you in trouble!
Mar 17, 2017 04:02AM

201765 There's still loads going on here and on the website for you to be involved with Alex :) and you can always just have a stalk of the page now and again if you want to see what's going on but not be immersed in how social it is!
Mar 17, 2017 03:17AM

201765 I'm so excited! Some new plans are in the works for Navigating Indieworld, I'm not going to tell you what they are yet because I'm mean like that, but there are more great opportunities coming very soon.

In preparation, could you all help to grow our Facebook page and group? Please join if you haven't already, and share them around on your own social media.

The page is here- https://www.facebook.com/NavigatingIn...
And the group here- https://www.facebook.com/groups/17603...

If you could share the newsletter sign up too, that would be awesome!

201765 what do you need changing Ruth?
Mar 16, 2017 08:46AM

201765 Hey Ruth, it looks great but this goes to a personal account and not a page. Do you have an author page too? Drop a link and I'll like it if you do :)

201765 It was 'Stolen By The Billionaire Gorilla' that got me! It took me a while to figure out it was supposed to be about an animal shapeshifter and not an actual wealthy gorilla...

201765 Maybe I'm just childish, but a lot of those titles had me giggling
