Yes, regular characters are just fine to make!

Yes. While two fairytale characters that are already involved with each other in the stories automatically are drawn to each other in a romantic sense, it is not impossible for them to love someone else.

・She grew up very poor and in the lower class, but now that she's on her own in the city working as a vet, she's actually quite wealthy and frequently sends money to her family.
・She and Bastian kinda switched places in social status.
・She and Bastian will eventually meet up again and begin a relationship.
・She's also best friend with Kikki's Big Bad Wolf character. He brought her an injured dog at one point and has kept coming back for the dog and asking for her. She though he had a crush on her, but he's actually gay so when she asks him about it, he tells her he's gay and they become great friends, though everyone in her clinic thinks they're dating because they're always together hanging out.

No definitive ages, though I have a feeling lots of people will make their own characters about the same age as the original characters.

Hm. I always personally thought Cruella was one of the most feminine characters out there, but I suppose there's nothing truly definitive about her that makes her a woman. She doesn't have a love interest or anything, so I think that'd be fine if you genderbent her.

Not necessarily, though the list I have right now would make it seem like that. I am going to be adding more claims though, and I'm going to make a fairytale suggestion thread too.

Hmm, I knew someone would ask this question so I've been thinking about it quite a bit. I think the big, popular characters (ie. Snow White, Prince Charming, the Evil Queen) should stay the genders they already are. However for the smaller characters, I think it'd be fine to genderbend them, such as the Big Bad Wolf.
