Ooh interesting! I love that story tbh. So then he and Marian were friends when they were little and then they suddenly meet up again in NYC?
I might have her have been more poor when they were little, but then now she's more higher class and wealthy, so they kind of switched places.
And for Kiara for me at least, I'm thinking of having her recently moved from somewhere in Africa to live in the city and adjust to city life all in order to get away from her overbearing father and prove him wrong since he thinks she can't survive on her own.
@GeeThat sounds perfect! I was going to keep "Jasmine" a lot like the original character as well, though a bit more tough. Rather than just being strong in her words, she's also physically strong and can take care of herself.
