Ya know, this is one dead horse i dont mind beating :P

I wouldnt mind it not following the book exactly, since it is the movie version. HOWEVER, they cant just completely botch the movie, and ruin the storyline the way they did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. >_<

lol i only just did myself. but it kinda would make sense, they leave him behind as a sort of punishment, or he decides to stay himself.

i think he might be the one left behind in the vision eragon had of the man left on the island with the 2 dragons and the man and woman boarding the ship. If so, then he survives.

i'd much rather it be murtagh than arya, and it could kinda make sense too, tho i would hate to see either char die, they're too central to the book.

he could always hatch the egg after galby is defeated. that seems most likely since paolini will prolly want to show a bit if the fact that eragon now has to train one new rider, and kinda retrain another (if murtagh lives).

I have a feeling "kuthian" is something we haven't seen yet, so its prolly somewhere in Galby's palace, or close by. Remember that he will speak his name when it seems he lost and needs power? That will only be because he is fighting either murtagh or galby, and he wont have time to go searching the continent for this rock of kuthian, which must be covered with powerful magic since everyone's heard of it yet can't remember it at all.

i dont think any director will be making either eragon or eldest anytime soon, judging from the reactions they're getting lol, they'd be too scared:P
