Hope to get a lot of reading in later on today

Thanks Claire, there are so many great children's books out there but there are also some really bad ones. Love reading to the kiddies when I see them and it is a nice change of pace for me (especially now since I am reading The Terror - great book, but very dark and long)

Sonsoles, I'm showing 55.5 points, not the 54.4 you show in message #3. I checked message 75 and added November points and still get 55.5.
Adding my new books here so it doesn't confuse the matter further

Fancy Nancy: Oodles of Kittens32 pages (children's book)
.5 points

I am currently reading
Talking Pictures: Images and Messages Rescued from the Pastit is 384 pages but all pictures.
What is the correct point count for this book is it .5 (because of pictures) or 1 point (384/2=192 pages)?
Thank you.

Had to read this in high school and didn't like it much then. Don't like it now either, not one likeable character in the book.

This was required reading in high school, didn't like it then and when I saw the opportunity here, I decided to re-read. My adult self does not like this book any better than my teen self. Not a likeable character in the bunch, although I do understand the book better now than I did then. Still have about 40 pages to go and I don't think anything about it will change my mind.
While Gatsby believed in the green light, I believe this will be my last reading of this book.

updated msg 75 with all the books I finished Saturday night and Sunday

I forgot that I also participayed in the Genre challenge. It was fun but sometimes the genres didn't make a lot of sense. I like the simplicity of the Hogwarts challenge. I avoid complicated challenges or ones that dictate reading certain books. I read for enjoyment and participate in challenges that work with that.

I enjoy the Hogwarts challenge and it is the only one I participate in. I like the team aspect and enjoy seeing other books folks are reading. I really appreciate all the hard work you guys do to make it happen.
