"YA Horror novel? A young couple makes a deal to be/ live forever young (with a fortune teller?) and are trapped at a fair/ carnival where they work/live Cover: orange with fair rides? Read between 1999-2002.

Story about a couple working (possibly living) at a fair/carnival and make a deal to live forever

There was a book I read at school in Canada between 1999 and 2002. It was a horror book if I recall, about a young couple who work/live at a carnival/fair of some sort. I believe they were around 18ish years old.

The guy ends up making a deal (behind her back with a fortune teller I remember a crystal ball) for them both to be young and immortal forever. 100 years go by (I think) and they end up just hating each other.

I remember a part where she slaps him across the face and the flesh on his face is ripped off by her hand and he either had to re arrange it or it grow it back.

She ends up interested in another guy who visits the carnival/fair with his friends or girlfriend and her immortal boyfriend tries to kill the new guy

I remember is it had Orange on the cover and I think fair rides. I remember a purple or dark blue Ferris wheel possibly a carousel. Is a stand alone book I think I remember one of the characters is named Jamie or Jesse.

Not: The First Scream by RL Stine
The Night Circus by Erin Morganstern
Odd Thomas: you are destined to be together forever

Thanks all for taking the time, I don’t really expect to figure this one out I’ve been looking for it for a looooong time and I’ve posted before over the years without luck."
