If the stuff at the front makes you uncomfortable, you could walk to the section of the shop you like (the fantasy or ya section, say) and then pick the first book you see there. If you keep your eyes of the books, its not really cheating :)

Saga? Batman? Star Wars? Death Note? Watchmen? What are you thinking on reading? :D"

Nimona by Noelle Stevenson is a good graphic novel! The Sleeper and the Spindle is a nice illustrated short story that is published by itself as well! I don't read enough graphic novels, but they are just so expensive! The new Lunar Chronicles graphic novel comes out in January.

Yep!

Any time! I needed to do my own research anyway, so might as well help some people out at the same time!

It was my friend's favourite book and I hated the beginning because I thought the whole 'rich family isnt really perfect' thing was cliché and I thought the ending was problematic, but I really enjoyed the middle, so I definitely have mixed thoughts.

Sounds great!

Hopefully you continue to get out of that! Reading slumps are a nightmare.

Definitely! Or books that are hyped within a totally different circle.

Illuminae is incredible!

I just cant decide between Gadsby by Ernest Vincent Wright or A Void be Georges Perec"

Yeah, I got about 3/4 through the book and was so completely lost. It didn't help that I didn't understand who got called what in the family back in those times either. I've pretty much decided to hope that we study it at some point during school/university and someone can help me with it! Otherwise, I will probably wake up in my 60s and be like 'now I'm going to read it'.

Wonderful! I think this will be a definite good change! It was pretty much all from Keira's lovely mind! It neve..."

There are quite a few quotes like that :)

I love Charlotte Brontë, but there are a few too many Catherines in Wuthering Heights for my tastes (I mean, I know that was a literary choice, but there is a point at which it goes to far and when all of your characters feel the same and I have no idea who you're talking about it has gone to far).

Best of luck, Keira! :D"
Thank you! Hopefully I'll go book shopping on the 30th or 31st and pick one then. But what if ..."
Luckily, I am usually always drawn to the cover first, and good covers tend to make me more interested in the book! I'm not to worried about not liking it when I read it- that can't be helped. I'm more worried about not liking the idea of the plot!

I'm so happy you like the idea! And yeah, it was super quick. Admittedly I read it when I was about 12, but it's still an interesting idea and there is quite a lot of character growth throughout the trilogy.
