Just wanted to apologize about not having the message boards up for Swords sooner. Will be starting on this later tonight. Again, sorry everyone!!!!!

This season is going to be awesome!!!

Millasandre annoys me just as much as Cersei. Cersei is just power hungry evil and Millasandre is just a nut case!!!

Okay. Maybe I missed something, but could someone clarify why Arya's group is basing the direction that they travel on a mud drawing of the God's Eye that one of the guys did?

Happy Easter to everyone!!!! Hope you all are having a GREAT DAY!!!!

Is it a good brew? Currently watching season 5 in preparation for season 6.

Leslie that is the best part!!! I laugh every time I see that part in GOT. Tyron has awesome one liners!!! I am currently rewatching season 5. Have to love this show!!!!

The favor practice was a popular tradition back in medieval times which Martin is drawing from. Way better then the "love apple" tradition that they used to do. In this tradition the couple would leave fruit under their armpits to soak up the body oder scent. When it was rotted and stinky they were presented to each other so that they would be remembered during battle in far away lands. Gross practice but middle and high schoolers love being taught this nugget of medieval history. I had one student bring in apples for all of the girls one time. LOL!!! Anyway, one thing that struck me in this chapter is the ending. The three from Quarth to me seem a little shady. They just want the dragons. They can't be trusted. Also could Quarth be the ones that caused this city to be in ruins??? Or other cities for that matter?

Never played Hitman bit looks awesome.

I am trying to get caught up with everyone. Reading the first Theon chapter right now. Kind of cool that i am currently reading about Pyke and the Iron Islands at the beach so I am getting a bunch of cool sound effect whilst reading. Really hoping to get Class of Kings done before the start date of Swords. How is everyone else?

Wow what a chapter. I agree with Leslie, it is a confusing chapter. I have two comments with this chapter. The making of Lightbringer is quite disturbing. The forger of Lightsaber had to be clinically insane to thrust a sword into his wife. Similarly she had to be crazy to be willing to be sacrificed. Lastly I thought it was brilliant how George RR Martin used the birds that the Baratheon brothers owned to metaphorically describe their personalities. BRILLIANT!!!!

I know the LOTR and Hobbit movies are about $3 USD on Comcast cable On Demand in my area. Not bad at all.

Try Amazon. Last time I looked they had some pretty good prices for The Hobbit.

Welcome Simone!!!! You will find this group a great place to discuss this awesome series. Looking forward to reading your posts.

Cool Leslie, I will do that. Terry, did you watch the American or Swedish trailer? If you watched the U.S. one the Swedish one is WAY BETTER. The Swedish one is very artistic in the filming and story line.

Warning!!!! This is WAY in advance, but would anyone be interested in doing a buddy or group read during the month of October with the book "Let the Right One In" by John Ajvide Lindqvist? It is a book that is fitting for the Halloween season. The original European movie was awesome and since viewing it years ago I have always wanted to read the book. Let me know. Hope you all are doing well!!!
