I was considering that one too, Marie, but I realized I hadn't read the trilogy that is sort of set in the same world as Fragile Threads (at least I think that's how they are connected) so I may do that instead!

They also have lists of new releases each season, so that's another place to look for newer books! But I'll probably use an awards list... or a really random list.. or I'll need a break by the time I get to this prompt and I'll just use the search function like Tracy said lol.

I also like the idea of picking a book I know I liked and searching for it, then reading another book that's on the same list as that one. One would hope that books that are similar would be listed together.

Oooh what do you think of Tress? A friend recommended it to me and I just got it from the library.

As the days get shorter and winter approaches (in the northern hemisphere, anyway), we are reading a book related to night.

What are you reading for this prompt, and how does it fit the prompt?

I'll be reading something on the Tournament of Books list. I read nearly the full list last year, and the 2024 list should come out in November or December, so I'll be reading something off the list as the connection!

This is always a fun prompt and an easy prompt for me. I read a lot of new releases because I subscribe to Book of the Month club, so this prompt will certainly be filled by one of the books I get next year through them!

I feel like I have quite a few prompts next year that I can't plan for!

Jillian, I read that series back when we had the Egypt/Muslim author prompt (2021?) and loved it so much. I'm hoping to read the author's newest book The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi for the sea prompt next year.
