Borealis smiled and took them. "What made you change your mind?" he asked as he poured the pitchers down the drain, one at a time, then proceeded to fill them with fresh water.

Meh, yeah, sure - yes
Borealis eyed her for a moment, then relaxed and nodded. "Sure - lead the way Punk Princess,"and followed her, all the while wondering what it was this time.
"Yeah...I guess that would be something to keep in mind..." Borealis mentally locked that thought into his special mind cupboard for what he most wanted to remember, and then gave a little smile, almost unconsciously.
Borealis studied her for a moment. "But you've got to have something...I mean, everyone does...right?" He thought about himself, and his father, and his future. He was going to be king, just like his father...wasn't he? That's what he'd always wanted...wasn't it? Now Borealis wasn't so sure. He didn't know what he wanted anymore, after talking with Darley...he'd always thought his future was laid out for him, and there was nothing he could do about it, so why bother trying? But now...here was a princess who acted nothing like how she should act, talked nothing like how she should talk, and there wasn't one thing about her how she should be...as a princess, at least. She wasn't even remotely interested in the throne...after this...was he?
((That's okay! And thanks!))Borealis shrugged. "I dunno, just asking...so...if you aren't going to be Queen one day, what are you planning on being when you're older? I mean, for me, my future's set - I'm going to save a damsel in distress, she'll fall crazily in love with me and we'll get married and I'll have the kingdom. It was laid out for me before I was even born. But I don't mind, It's what I'd have done anyway...so, you?"
Borealis shook his head, straightened his back in what he hoped was a dignified, regal way, and strode off to the drink station. He found a piece of paper halfway lodged between the wall and the back of the cart, took a pen out of the inside of his jacket, and quickly scrawled, in big, loopy letters: Out of Order. Then he straightened up again, and went back over to rejoin Darley. It was a few moments before the rest of her sentence fully sank in. "Wait!" He said a little louder than necessary, "Tess...is she your sister or something?"
