Charlie grinned again.


((I have absolutely no idea what to do now...lol))

"I just hope she can fix this..." Kaedric muttered, completely red faced.

"Oh, you don't recognize me, do you?" he said calmly. All of a sudden, the bright red hair, golden eyes, and older appearance melted away, and there stood only Charlie, grinning and eyes twinkling.

"It's the ring," he explained, before Genni could ask. "It allows me, to, sort of change my appearance. It's pretty cool."

"Nah, I think I can, like, walk up there-" he tried standing up, but as soon as he set his watery foot down on the ground, it sank right through the earth and he fell, face first into the dirt.

"Okay, maybe not..." Kaedric muttered.

Suddenly, a tall, red haired and golden eyed man walked into the forest, grinning slightly. He waved.

"Hello, Genevieve..."

Finally, Kaedric noticed her worry. "Oh, no, no, it wasn't your fault, don't worry! It was an accident, I'm not that far ahead, you know... Don't feel bad!"

Kaedric was too shocked to respond. He just looked at it, fascinated. He tried wiggling his toes. Nothing. His foot looked the same, except it was clear and, well, watery...

"Woah...Oh, hey, maybe we should take this to Proff. Cole? She might know what to do..." Kaedric proposed.

"Weeeeeell..." Charlie said, gaining confidence now.

"I do have this ring, that -" with a twist of the black stone on the band, he had disappeared.

"Awesome - um, nice talking to you...?" Melody trails off, realizing she never learned this boy's name.

Kaedric nodded, but as he clambered out of the water, he noticed something odd...

"Hey, I can't feel my left foot!" he said, confused, and looked down.

"Oh my gosh!" he gasped.

And that was a pretty accurate reaction, for, while his left foot was there, it was...different.

"My foot's made of water!" Kaedric gasped in horror.

"Um...okaaaay, well I think we're looking for Jason? Ummm it's for Justice..." Melody said.

Kaedric heard Willow's worried cry, and tried to shout back, but the best he could be heard was a soft gurgle.

Then, he thought of something. It was a crazy, wild idea, but it could work. Kaedric began his usual routine in piecing his body back together, and after a few minutes of intense 'where are you left pinky get over here now!' Kaedric looked down and found he could see his body. But now he couldn't breathe, so he shot up and out of the water, until his head was bobbing on the surface and his eyes watering. But he was back above water.

"Hi...um..." Melody didn't quite know what to say, and she had no idea where Justice was. She had been just in front of her a second ago...

History: Hawkridge was born to Arryn Ravenpeak and Doceon Hawkridge, and, as an only child was given all of his parents' attention. His father, Doceon Hawkridge, worked as an undercover explorer for the six countries, and after a few years of marriage, his wife, Arryn Ravenpeak, followed him to become his partner in exploration as well as life. But soon, when Hawkridge was about six years old, exploring the countries wasn't enough for Doceon, and he wanted to go beyond. Beyond the borders and into the WildLands, where mythical beasts lay in waiting and no human had gone out...and come back alive. The WildLands lay just beyond the borders of the countries, it surrounded them, creating a seemingly impenetrable border that would keep the citizens in their homes. Doceon proposed this idea to his wife, to go out and explore the WildLands, and, after a few hot arguments and more than a few cruel words, Doceon packed his bags and left. Left to the WildLands, leaving his fuming wife at home with their young son. But, as the months went by, and then soon passed into years, and no sign of Doceon, Arryn got worried. After three years of no sign of her husband, she finally decided to go after him. She left their son with her older sister Niamh, an old widow and slightly nearsighted woman. She set off when he was only nine, and was never heard from again. So, Hawkridge grew up with his old aunt, and, when it was time to go to the Academy, he went, and when he graduated, he came back home, only to find his aunt had died while he was in his last year at the Academy. So, he went off on his own. After eleven years of wandering the Shadow country, taking various jobs, he returned to the Academy and took up the Dark Teacher position, previously held by an extremely old man who had died a few months before. This is his third year teaching.

Personality: Hawkridge is a fun and different teacher, unexpected by his students, and makes his classes exciting and different. His position has been held for three years, and he has no idea what to do if he were to be fired. So he doesn't think about that.

There was a faint sound from the water, but then silence.

Kaedric looked up, and cried out in frustration. He could see the distorted image of Willow above the surface, but he didn't know how to get to her. He didn't even know where most of his body parts were. They were floating around the pond somewhere, scattered particles floating around the water. He could still see though, somehow. His mental body felt weird, however. It was all flowy and dippy and kept going in random directions, like he got distracted by the same dragonfly four times. He was also having weird thoughts, like...as if he had become the water. Like he was a part of it at the moment. Whatever bit of him his mental body was looking through at the moment, it was underwater. But, weirdly, he could breath just fine. Or rather, his mental body could breath just fine. It was probably because his body was mostly water now, he could just drink in water, and use that as oxygen.

Kaedric shook his head. That was a stupid idea. Where in the world had that silly logic come from? This pond, evidentally.
