History: Avis is the youngest Bennett and is always trying to prove herself. When she was young(er), she would spend nights outside in the backyard, or wrestle the family cat into the sink for a bath, to prove her worth to all her older siblings. But they would just pat her on the head, take in her camping supplies, dry the cat, and shoo her off to 'play'. Avis never liked that, and so continued to try and gain her siblings' admiration and respect.

Personality: Avis - when she isn't trying to prove herself - is a happy and fun-loving ten-year-old girl. She gets along best with her quiet sister, Birdie, and the two like to do things together. But, Avis also likes to be outside, like her adopted sisters, and so sometimes has to abandon Birdie to be outside.

History: Jay is and always was a trouble maker. When he was only two years old he put honey inside the gears and engine of the family car, when he was six he let loose the neighbors' set of prized racing horses (they were never seen again), and when he was eight, he literally fed his older sister, Raven's homework to the cat. Just to name a few of his mischievous works. He's closest to his twin sisters, who like to act way older than him, but he always knows how to get them back (sticky maple syrup placed expertly on the sheets of their beds). He was never a favorite child, but he was very close to his father from the day he was born.

Personality: Jay is a troublemaker. He's mischievous, never really payed any attention to school rules, and loves pranks. He'd probably waste away if he was ever separated from his 'Expert Prank Kit' that was given to him by his father on his seventh birthday. People have tried, though, and somehow he's managed to put honey in their hair and baby powder all over their best clothes. Not many of the teachers like him.

History: Robin is the older of the set of twins their parents adopted at a young age. She and Cardinal were found in a box full of blankets at the border between Ventis and Ignatia, and, with already a one year old daughter and four year old son, Mr. and Mrs. Bennett adopted them, to be raised as their own. The twins were told at a young age of their true heritage - and it would have been hard to conceal it, with the girls' fire powers beginning to develop - so as not to create chaos in the years to come. But the twins have always been a part of the family, and their siblings hardly think of them as not blood-related at all.

Personality: Robin is not as outgoing as her twin, but still loves to climb trees, have fun, and be outside. She also loves to practice her element in secret, with her secret that she wants to be better in her element than her sister. She's ashamed of it, though, and tries to squash that feeling as much as possible.

History: Raven Bennett was always different from her siblings. She never played like they did, and at a young age found out her powers were different from theirs. She was of the Dark element, unlike her parents and siblings. After some research, however, she found her grandmother on her mother's side was from the Shadow country, and moved with a young Mrs. Bennett to the Air country, where she eventually met Mr. Bennett and got married.

Personality: Raven used to go chasing after her older brother, asking to play with him and wanting to be his friend more than their younger siblings. They were too light and airy for her, but something about Hawk made her want to be close to him, and do what he did. But Hawk never paused in his power-hungry race to see a little girl chasing after him and constantly asking to play with him, what he was doing, could she do it too. He only saw her as a nuisance and ignored her as much as possible. Now, with Hawk about to leave her life forever, Raven has given up on him and become even more secluded and isolated from everyone else as never before.

History: Hawk is the eldest of the Bennett kids, and the one most tired of it. He's tired of being known as 'Raven's older brother', or 'Cardie and Robin's big brother', and not 'Hawk, the obvious best of the best.' He can't wait to be old enough to move out and away from his freak family. They've made his Academy years the worst of his life as it is, he doesn't want them ruining his life, too. He was always a different student as a child, striving to be the best he could be, and the top of the class. But not just sometimes, always. And, at the age of 13, when his sister, Raven, got into the Academy, his hunger for greatness only grew. As his siblings entered the school, he was driven to not only try, but be the best of the best, at all times. His original, friendly competition for top-of-the-class became a power-hunger that was only satisfied when there was no one else he could beat. This has caused one of his younger sisters, Birdie, to be terrified of him, even if he is completely unaware and uncaring of that.

Personality: Hawk is a power-hungry teenager. He's never really thought about what to do in the future, except get away from his freak family and start a nice, quiet, -but powerful!- life. He has considered coming back to teach at the Academy, but he immediately discarded that idea as being too 'boring and besides, Avis will be at the school for another six years'. So, he just counts the days until the end of his last year, and in the meantime kicks any kid's-who-wants-to-get-above-him's butts.
