[End Scene]{Ash and Florie have gone to the Devereux Residence}

Ash climbed off and pulled his own helmet off. His blue jeans were stuck to him in uncomfortable places rather tightly showing off his bulge as if they were skin tight. He set the helmet on the bike and moved up to the door giving it a hard knock. "Damien Devereux? It is Ash Redd. I have come to gain my powers." The door opened and Ash was pulled in quickly and slammed agianst the wall next to the door. "Be quiet. We have to do this the right way, but we have to be as less noticeable as possible. Hunters are everywhere...I am afraid one might have the guts to face me." He looked out the door once more seeing Florence. Damien glared, "You brought one with you!" He siad in a hushed yell. Ash rolled his eyes, "She is on our side. She wanted to be witness to our ritual." Damien glared...The deal is off if she is here." Ash shook hsi head, "No it isn't. The deal held not terms as to who or what I brought with me. It is an exchange nothing more." Damien turned glaring at Ash, "Fine, she cna stay, but I have to go out and find Vari and Salem soon. I jsut hope my little sis is alright too."
Ash nodded, "Come on in Florie." He gestured with his hands holding the door open.
Damien walked through the house, "We begin in the back. They can't see us there and I'm not risking my hosue burning down, otherwise it would be done inside." Damien said rather coldly. He missed Variel. He hated what he had doen to her earlier today and he wish he could take it back. Apparently more na dmore hunters were changing sides, but now he questioned what side did he stand on. That wasn't half as important as the ritual to take place. If it all went right Ash would have his powers and Damien would have a soul to sacrifice to Lucifer.

Artemus nodded at Kali and Salem..."Great, more Witches on my list that I probably am not allowed to kill. How can I make a living with a Familiar as a sister?" He asked trying to speak jokingly, but on the inside he was thinking hard as to where they could all go. Now he was unable to return to the Iron horse Inn and now he has been marked as filth just as the Witches. Artemus took Salem's hand examining his wounds, "Night fall will be soon...I cna't be around any of you if you wish to live. My guess is wherever it is that your Coven and these other out of town Witches are going is safest for now. I don't expect anywhere safer for you to exist except with your own kind. An ambush will take place tonight in the caverns. Maybe you go there and you might be able to convince a few to stay and fight and a few weaker ones to run and hide. The hunters are on a full raid and they won't stop with just hierarchy. They are moving to exterminate. More Witches have come to Grievance Ridge this week than any other time. The Summer Solstice is happening and at sunset the Witches will do their ceremony. After which or during the hunters will attack. They have a lot of high tech coming at you I expect you will need to take precautions. They will seal the cavern with iron." Artemus explained.
Salem was in shock..."Wait, no...I'm not going back to Damien's...I'm not going to some stupid ritual to be killed. I don't know about any of you, but I'm sticking with Art here." He looked at art. The cuts and holes in Salem's arms weren't healing so obviously it was iron in the grenade. "Me and Kali both need some help with this iron otherwise we can't heal and it will leave some nasty scars. Come on....Wherever we go we need to stay close." Salem was clearly tired of the hunters, but as he swayed as he talked even sitting on the ground he seemed to be having difficulty staying focused. "My hands...they're going numb..." He managed with a bit of a laugh. "Damn Art, you look fine as hell...Wanna hang out later. I've never had sex before, but I'm always wanting to try something new." Salem offered with a smirk. The wort and basil was starting to talk now. "Go ahead ask me anything....I dare you." Artemus rolled his eyes..."You wonder why I hate Witches becuase a single plant gets them acting like that, Vari." He said pointing at Salem. Salem reached out for his hand but kept missing. "Hold still." He laughed out.

Stefan downed his head slightly still looking up at her as he did so with a slight grin. "Not going to lie to you, that was pretty hot." He admitted. He watched her for amoment before another lemon drop was set infront of him. He took a sip and looked at her rather intently and then he felt the coldest of chills on his spine. Stefan wanted to respond to her wordsa bout him feeling lonely and finding an immortal. He wanted to say something charming, but the chill worried him. As he turned in his seat he looked toward the door. A small group of people all wearing black suits entered. They had sunglasses on and trench coats. Who would wear sunglasses at night, a full group? He flenched slightly when he recognized one of them. "We have to go..." He said calmly turning back to her. "Aspen, we have to leave now. I'm cursed and so are you and I'm guessing given Witches are real that they are here for us and Withes." He said plainly downing his dirnk quickly. Already he noticed some waiters and waitresses becoming a bit finicky. He stood pulling his coat off from around the chair and draping it over Aspen's shoulders. He then spoke a slightly bit louder..."Come on baby, you have had enough to drink tonight." He said in a rather casual voice with a calm smirk. "Let's get you back home." He was quite the character himself. He helped pull out Ciara's/Aspen's chair. Leaning down to whisper in her ear. "We need to leave as casually as possible." But as he spoke he said it with a smirk on his face as a guy would to a woman he planned on sleeping with that night. he held a seductive tone as the hunters moved closer knowing they would only be able to hear the tone of his voice rather than actual words.

Ash grinned as he pulled his helmet on, "Alright, I am ready to go." He said as he swung a leg around the other side of the bike and held onto her hips. He was ready for the freedom feel. He felt the engine start and loved the feel of the motor just under him purring like a kitten. Ash awaited Florie to pull out and was starting to look more forward to the ride to Damien's house than what was to take place there. Ash still had no idea what awaited him. He didn't know if he was prepared for it, but even if he wasn't he would have to endure as an immortal.

((k))
Stefan raced tot he bathroom and splashed water in his face he gripped the edges of the sink tightly, "Come on, Stefan! Get your act together. She is playing you like everyone always has. Don't be vain about anything. You have nothing in life to look forward to...She should be repulsed by you. You smell like death." Stefan was talking himself down as he had almost all of his life. People even those who cursed him claimed him to be vain, but they had no idea how vain he was. It was so bad he knew he was and he would talk himself down to be less vain than what he usually was, not that it always helped. It was how he kept from appearing as an asshole half as much. He turned around and a guy was behind him, "So how did someone like you get someone like her?" Stefan smirked at the guy, "Clearly I have something you don't and it goes way beyond how much I'm packing in my pants." He said pushing past the guy with a clever grin and sitting back down infront of the beauty. He finished his lemon drop and quickly held his glass up for another..."So gorgeous...If I need to simplyfind myself and not isolate myself, what do you propose I do if the slightest nudge against me can cause someone to fall into a seizure?" He asked a bit more seriously...but a hint of the alcohol which he hadn't had in over a year now was getting to him so he wasn't half as serious as he would have been.

Artemus helped Kali and at her words he simply rolled his eyes. "You Witches always think magic can solve all of your problems so easily." He said as they made it out of the smokey house. Nightfall was coming and to Artemus's surprise no one was driving up and down the road. Where was everyone? He walked her to the motorcycle hearing footsteps and in a single swing he turned and shot the guy in the knee cap perfectly before continuing. "Variel, is that everyone? If not you get to save them. I'm done with rescuing arrogant Witches." He said plainly even though Kali was his only chance at fixing things at the moment. He looked to Salem who was shirtless wearing sweat pants and had cuts all over his upper body, but surprisingly not his face which Artemus supposed was a good thing cause the kid had an attractive face. "You alright." Salem looked up at him with a light nod..."Yeah...I'm jsut a little shaken." He admitted it at least. A full on hunter attack he could remember was not a good one not to mention even if it took a little bit to kick in he and Kali would both experience the side-effects of basil, ash wood, & St. John's wort. Salem didn't know how much of the herbs they would feel, but those smoke bombs were pretty damn strong.

((gtg goodnight))
Ash walked outside and walked toward a large tarp which he presumed to be the motorcycle. He loved motorcycles to a hgh extent. They made him feel free and as fast as the centuries ahve gone by they made a fast world seem slow. He helped uncover the bike and smiled..."I love riding these...What is all the weapons for, though? We cannot wage for peace if you are prepared to wage war." He said rather philosophically.

Artemus looked at the boy Witch in disgust as he saw the family resemblance to Damien. Artemus left Salem by the bike. "I'll help the Seer." He said plainly as he moved in like a professional assassin. He shot three in the head lined up at the windows with one single bullet and got one inside in the shoulder with the same shot. He moved around and started hitting legs, arms, shoudlers. As much as he didn't like the American Hunters they were still apart of the same team. He wasn't going to help them, but he wasn't going to kill them either. At least not all of them. Artemus moved in finding Kali bleeding. He scooped her into his arms. "I'm a hunter, but not one here to kill you...You probably already knew that." He said a bit coldly disgusted he had to even carry her without being one to kill her later after some hot sex. He sat her down and as a few hutners left moved in on them he turned around and punched a guy in the gut before kneeing his nose and then kicking him in the throat. Artemus shot three others before running out off bullets all three in the left shoulders and right legs. One more a tall dark man who he had met once before. He was the American Ambassador for hunters. The man glared and raced off. Now Artemus understood very well that he was going to die next before any other Witch. Once his society discovered he had helped Witches they would put a bounty on his head.

((gtg tired as ever I feel sick and I ahve to work tomorrow which really sucks.))
Stefan raised his head up a bit trying to hear her out. He really was wanting to live like she did. Move around a lot and avoid too much closure..in his case any at all. If he truly was immortal as she was then he would be living forever alone. He glanced around for a moment realiing that the attention of many attractive and some unattrative men was held on her. He couldn't blame them, but he was really taken back when he felt more than a human touch for the first time in a year, but he felt lips against his own. His eyes were wide open in pure shock before he melted into it kissing her back a bit. He couldn't understand what led up to this any longer and he hardly understood where he was or what was even happening apart formthe kiss. It was amazing to be able to do that again. What the bad part was he had been alone and by himself for ayear a persons touch especially a kiss was more than enough to make a turn-on very noticeable. As they pulled back he felt their lips naturally stick to one another giving a lasting tug and leaving a slight tingle. He looked at the table for a moment then at her..."Um, I have to go to the bathroom..." He said it rather quickly embarrassed clearly, but as death he could not blush.

Alex nodded with a grin as she tapped him and asked if he was ready. He leaped from the porch into the sidewalk and looked behind him awaiting ehr towalk with him before he began to walk on down the pavement toward the cafe. A coffee really did sound nice around now. He wanted one to sooth his throat and ease his mind of the dark thougts that laid ahead for hima gainst hunters. He walked with Stephanie in silence only for a moment. "So after coffee, where will our feet lead us?" He raised hs eyebrow with his seductive smirk which always appeared seductive intentional or not. "I'm really excied to be able to hang out with you and I don't want hutners messing it up for us like they did last ngiht for me and yout his morning." He said with a rather matter-of-fact look on his face.

((k))
Ash got out a bit hesitant to enter with her brother sleeping. He did however walk in behind her. He closed the vehicle door behind him and stood in the middle of the entry room. He looked aorund a bit impressed with what she has done for herself and her brother. "Very nice...where does your brother sleep?" He asked sounding cautious as he looked around for a moment without moving from the spot he had selceted as his own for standing.

Salem nodded, but he was now in a perfect circle of iron. There was no way he could even move without feeling it's effects. Salem heard a number of car doors slam closed and in seconds smoke gernades were being tossed into the air filled with a number of herbs if not all of which were lethal to Witches in some way. Then came the shrapnel grenades launching iron fragments everywhere. Salem screamed out in pain feeling the ehat of the blast then shards of metal loddged innto his bare chest and arms. A loud motor could be heard over the ringing in his ears.
Artemus pulled his motorcycle up finding a number of hunters surrounding the house. "Hey boys look who came to join the fight...It's the crumpet boy!" A hunter called out as they closed in on the house weapons at the ready all of them carrying iron bullet guns now. They now knew Kali's ability to deflect injury and pain, but it was impossible for a Witch to do so with iron. Artemus was unsure how to respond. Did he join the kill or did he attack.

((Where they at???))

Stefan wanted to pull back instinctively. He knew his touch had to affect her some how. Immortal or not it may not kill her or induce a coma, but she had to feel something about it otherwise he would be able to touch others. He looked at her curiously his hand tensed and without intention he felt the coldness of his body heighten for a split moment working it's way toward Aspen/Ciara. It was far too late before he could truly react he had been touching her. He was unaware that immortals only experienced discomfort rather than any real pain or bodily harm. His eyes widened..."Sorry...I mean...Are you okay?" He lost his German accent and was full on American the real him. He had gotten so used to speaking in German the accent came with the territory, but having a full conversation with agirl who changed everything abotu herself each time she opened her mouth made him feel a bit self conscious allowing him to lose his own accent. The waiter brought two lemon drops one was for Ciara again and seemed to be another complimentary gift from some other guy. He turned his head quickly glaring at the one who was hoping for her to stare but the guy seemed to turn pale with jsut the gaze of death. He got out of his seat trembling a bit and paid for his tab befor ewalking out. Stefan frowned..."Sorry abotu that too." He downed his head, "I figured a good date would allow you to accept free drinks and shove off the guys who sent them."

Ash hopped into the passenger side. "I neither was nor am a Puritan. I was still in toddler size during that age and I had no interest in religion. Not to say I don't beleive in a higher power, but instead to say I have no form of worshiping such power." Ash explained himself plainly not fuly catching or comprehending her joke. "Rolls?" He asked curiously, "I do not follow. They are far more soft than I recall to our old biscuits but no true difference." He said rather plainly. He awaited her to start the vehicle presuming her like many other hunters knew where to find the most dangerous Witch in town.

Ash could only give a slender grin as she talked..."I cannot help the smile I was born with." His mind was wondering to what it would be like to gain new powers a new outlook on life. What it would be like to be a Witch. He looked to Florence once more, "My dear Florie, in my time one simply said such things to rush someone along. It is no joke as all believed in the rapture of Jesus Christ. Blood would fill the streets...the blood of those who were not puritans, of course. That included savages, Catholics, and many many more. Puritans were a dying breed even in my time. Now they simply hold different names and have divided into different sects. Jehovah Witnesses, Baptist, Methodist, Mormons...all have solid roots in puritan faith. He assured her as they walked toward the car pavement and he began to look around, "What did you drive?" He asked making it rather obvious he had no vehicle or form of transportation apart from walking. he had the Sleepwalker, Max drop him off at is motel and he walked here to meet up with Florence.

Stefan frowned a bit hopeless feeling now. There was no cure and no hope to escape this curse. He looked at their hands for a moment. He raised an eyebrow which quickly lowered and began to twitch for a minute. "What if those who cursed us were the good ones? What if we were cursed becuase we were the bad ones? Maybe our curse won't end until we fix ourselves. I can admit that I am vain I suppose for the matter of admitting it, but that doesn't mean I can stop being such." Stefan downed his head and raised a finger for a waiter. He then cleared his throat..."I'll have a lemon drop." He said it as if it were the saddest thing that could ever be said to someone. "Aspen, I'm curious....How old are you? Do you think me causing death will stop my own? Is it possible that I am immortal too?" He was curious just how long he had to fix the situation..."What about Witches can a curse be undone? Can it be countered?" He was desperate now. If she were immortal he began to wonder if he was as well.

Salem was shocked at the form of offence that Kali had, but he was even more shocked to see it short lived. All around the house windows were shattering. Salem didn't want to move so Kali had something human to hold onto. But now as the hunters were closing in with their iron blades and nets he began to feel weaker by the second. They were surrounding them with iron and it was drawing their abilities from them. "Time to be human for a change you devil followers." Salem threw his hand out at one and he was pushed backwards off balance by hsi telekinesis but as they closed in he felt his knees become wobbly and finally his legs turned itno jelly as he fell to his knees. His veins were tense and muscles were tight. He looked around helpless now. This was it. They failed once and they were going to be damned if they failed again.

Alex shook his head with a smile. "You look great...not like we are going to Milan or anything for a fashion show." He joked playfully as he jerked a shirt on over his sculpted abs. It was a white V-neck and his shorts where black gym shorts with the soft silk material. His tennis shoes, shorts, and shirts all held the puma insignia. It was his favorite brand. As he walked toward the door he held it open awaiting Stephanie to come out after she finished whatever it might be that she needed to finish. He left the door open and stood on the porch stretching and looking at his surroundings like a predator on the hunt. He smiled to hismelf quiet satisfied with being healed by her and then having hot sex. Now like a casual couple would they were going for a jog and for a coffee. He loved feeling human at times even if it wasn't true. He avoided mirrors and reflections because Witches were seen as dark beings Familiars only saw their animal form unless truly willed to remain seen in a mirror as their appearance was it never failed making it hard for any Sleepwalker, Familiar, Cursed, or Witch to ever really be seen in a mirror without someone reacting a bit harshly.
