Ian laughed lightly as she stated she wanted to pay Kellan a visit. "I'm not sure if Kellan will be up for talking much. He has changed a lot in the past few weeks. I hate to think about it, but I'm worried that he might be into a lot of things he should not be getting involved with. He is secluding himself more and now he hardly even talks to me about how school was or friends or anything. He won't even talk to me when I have him helping with the customer vehicles. He jsut does his job and then goes to his room." He sighed for a moment glancing a bit nervously between Max and the road. "I expect Witches could be useful, but as for whom it might be covering their tracks I do not think they will be of much help. I will expect that if anything they might turn on us or simply be covering up for their friends. God only knows what acts they can do with their powers. Clean a criminal record for example. I don't trust them and I don't think you should either." Of course Ian was one to give his blatant opinion. He had no care otherwise to lay off of someone just because he felt the need to speak his mind. Sure he worked for the Witches and his loyalties remained with them, but he knew it would be out of character for him to think something knew arising would be an okay thing for him. He was going to play against the Witches for now as far as Max was concerned.
Ian raised an eyebrow at her as he drove. He frowned, "Well...My mechanic business at home is booming right now. Seems the recent storms have done quite a bit of damage on vehicles." He made a left turn and started heading in the more general direction of the hospital. "As for Kellan...well...He is certainly a teenager. His graduation is today and I'm hoping I'll be there in time to make it. I already have a couple of deputies positioned outside for security, but the way things have been while you have been out aren't the best of circumstances." He paused feeling a bit uncomfortable talking about it but he had to tell someone and if anyone he had to tell Max. "The body count is rising and it isn't good. I am keeping the media out of it, but ever since these Witches have come out things are getting worse. I can't find any evidence of a connection between any of them, but I have been giving Kali Kamala all our evidence to see what she can piece together. It isn't natural. Witches...Wraiths...All that stuff in those pamphlets seem a little overwhelming. What are we supposed to do about cold cases now we know Witches could have been involved?" As concerned as Ian truly was his voice or face did not seem to show it at all. He was much like Max in the aspect that he hid his emotions if he ever experienced any very well.
Ian nodded and walked around to get into his cruiser. He started it up and put his seat belt on. He waited for Max to get in and get her seatbelt on and looked at her with a cheesy grin, "I still don't understand why you won't let me use my vehicle. Much better in high speed pursuits." He mused for a moment starting the vehicle and backing out of the driveway. He drove toward the hospital taking the long way. He knew Max wanted some rest and the Witch was going to be just fine.
Alex nodded figuring he would let the dog out and feed him and then he would head off. He wasn't about to stay here alone. What was he going to do if he became outnumbered by more hunters? Alex turned and walked back inside. He and the dog sat on the couch silently conversating. As if it were possible to have a non-verbal conversation with an animal.Officer Ian nodded to the sheriff. "It's fine...We can follow them and hopefully you can get ahold of Damien." He folded up his notepad and looked at Stefan. "Are you riding in the ambulance?" Stefan smirked a bit anxiously now..."Um, yeah...I better go ahead." He said realizing that Max as far as he knew never fully mentioned that Damien was Salem's brother. He quickly moved around the house to the ambulance in the drive way and climbed in. It's sirens honked and the ambulance made it's way down the road.
Ian looked at Max with a bit of a concerned frown. "Are you sure you are alright to go with us?" He asked hopeful she would because he hadn't seen her in days and was rather concerned about her. He hated to think that something was wrong with Max and was hopeful she might share rather than him having to interrogate her.
Cedrik frowned at Aurelia. "You are lying, but why? What is happening now?" He was more curious than confused. He never met a Witch quite like her, but they were wasting time as Cedrik made her walk with him closer to the stage. "Go on let it out. The worst that will happen is everyone here is going to die. I'll omit you from everyone of course, though. No reason to be so uptight. I know you are not going to let a beast hold you back in your mind. He is a servant pet nothing more." Cedrik mused the idea of casting a control spell over Familiars and making them turn on their masters. Eli frowned, "I can't find Salem in this crowd. He would be among the graduates but all I smell is hormonal teenagers." Eli admitted as he looked around. "I could always kill the Wraith and just prevent it all." He offered as though he were very serious. "At least then everyone will be safe for sure." He knew better than to think Kali to go for it, but it seemed like the only real answer.
Naturally, Alex wasn't one to pick up signals nearly as well as he could dish them out when he was promoted to temporary squad leader while Max and another Sniper would find positions to scout. Alex simply frowned, "Um, I may be a Familiar, but I'm hardly ever filled in on what is going on and who is who. I think it best if you go Max." Stefan frowned..."I could go with you if you wish me to." He offered with a half-smirk. He was trying his best to keep things light-hearted. "You can ride with the officer as you seem to know one another and I'll ride with Salem." He said as he turned to Alex. "You coming?" Alex figured he best stay...Not at Max's house, but simply stay behind. He guessed Max has had enough of his presence for a lifetime now. Admitting what he did, or better yet what he didn't do back on mission clearly severed a tie with Max. Ian frowned at Max..."If you have his brother's number we can take just one of you and we can contact his guardian." He could tell something was wrong with Max just as well as the others and it bothered him a bit...The way she was acting was not normal for the Sheriff. He started to question just what tie did Max have to the Witch. "It's your choice, Max."
Damien didn't really sleep but he was lost in the back of his own mind. His left hand slid up and laid over Variel's. His eyes open he was breathing like he was asleep. Damien unintentionally cast Descensum and cast himself into Hell. His mind was meditated with his eyes open. Already being blessed with the power to astral project himself into the netherrealm it was an easy slip without saying a spell. Damien found himself in darkness. He made his hands light on fire and there was still no light. No ceiling and no floor. He saw a little girl laughing in a farther part of the darkness. Nothing but the little girl. When he reached her she stood. It was Erin when she was younger. Only her eyes were carved out. All that was left were bloody black sockets, but the little Erin still smiled full of joy and laughter. "You killed me, Damien. You killed mommy and Daddy and you are killing everyone around you. You will be alone with no control. You will die alone and everyone will be dead but you." She vanished and appeared behind him. "You will have no control over anything that happens. All your power will be a waste and all your fighting will be for nothing. What will you do?" Damien backed away from the girl and held his ears pulling his hair. "No! Your lying! Stop this! Shut the fuck up!!!" Damien was losing his cool real fast. His eyes began to glow with fire and fire shot from his mouth like a dragon at the girl. Her laughter faded into nothing like an echo in the distance. Then a far darker and deeper voice filled the darkness with laughter. "We made a deal! I offered power and immortality never needing to kill again for the soul of your first born son. Payment is due!" Damien screamed loudly and his soul was jerked away forcing him to hover above his body before crashing down into it. He jumped up awake and breathing very heavily. Now he had broke a sweat. It was now 1:30 pm. He had to get up and get dressed. However, he just sat there still trying to collect himself. tears in his eyes. It was all so real. He knew it was simply Hell. A Hell like Damien's was hard to escape without using your powers. If he hadn't called himself back to his body with his scream of horror he would have never made it out and his body would become ashes.
Officer Ian followed and so did Stefan. As they made it outside Ian looked concerned at Max. "Look...I have enough for my statement for now. Just when you do come into work I would like to have a written statement from you." He knew that Max was obviously stressed and he didn't want to push that anymore than what was required. Ian frowned..."When he comes to I will be on sight. I'll try to get a statement from him and I'll have the doctors evaluate his condition." Ian's accent had changed a lot since being in the states. It wasn't half as thick as it was before. At times he sounded almost American. Stefan simply frowned still trying to piece together what had occurred that would not have alarmed him sooner. He turned seeing in the doorway..."Max, they want someone to ride with him. He is still a minor and someone needs to be able to give what information they have on him." Stefan frowned, "I hardly know his brother...Much less the kid." He admitted, but still seemed to feel protective of him. It was probably a thing Damien did to him when they bonded.
Damien smirked and stood. He allowed Variel to lead him to the room. He lost his towel quickly in the buff sporting his lovely package. He had freshly shaved his body and it seemed to shine without being wet still. His hair dried quick too. Clearly he was suppressing all of his feelings. He was burning up and not breaking a sweat. He tossed the throw pillows. Then folded the sheet back. He started at the door and started turning lights off in the house and cutting the tv off. He made it back and slid into the bed and reached over turning his lamp out leaving Variel's.
Damien looked at the remote unsure if he wanted to touch the thing. He took it never desiring to learn how to use the thing he went with basics and pressed the channel button. In a matter of moments he was on some conspiracy channel talking of the Witches recently coming out and how they had affected human history. They looked at the good side of it and the bad side of it all. Damien found it really amusing when they suggested Witches in the White House. Damien knew very well no Witch would risk helping to run a mortal country. That has not occurred since Roman rule. "Are you wanting to head up to bed? I'm a bit tired personally. I mean it is morning, but Salem's graduation is in a number of hours and I feel like I need some rest for something that boring."
Ian nodded trying to take in all the information that Max had given him. He realized he would need a bigger notepad. "Okay, should physical abuse be put on a charge against his brother? Is he the legal guardian?" He dotted down in his notepad trying to piece the statement together. He then frowned, "Wait, you said his sister recently died? What day did she die? It wasn't in any obituary that I know of." Ian knew very well Salem's home life and how Damien acted. In recent years when off duty he was to watch the Devereux family. How Erin died is beyond him as he lost any sign of her yesterday. Ian frowned, "Do you honestly think that a little bit of Highschool bullying will lead a lacrosse player to attempt suicide?" Ian made it very known in his own office that he followed lacrosse. It seemed just as good as Soccer/football to him. Ian didn't really know what to think of the brother of the High Priest trying to kill himself over someone close to them dying. Ian hadn't got to the root yet of how their parents died, but a lot of arrows kept pointing to Damien. However, Ian felt that the Coven would have already found out about Damien having such a talented Seer as Kali. She knows everyone she comes in contact with. Their past, their secrets, and so much more pain and suffering they have endured. Alex stood impatiently as the paramedics brought Salem down on the stretcher. He held the door open for them and helped get Salem into the ambulance. He walked back in and Stefan was coming down stairs in his clothes, thankfully. Stefan frowned when he saw the policeman. "Where are they taking Salem? Why didn't I hear them pull in?" He asked curiously. Stefan wasn't used to hiding the secrets of Witches. Sure Witches were out now, but they didn't want people figuring out what their powers were.
Damien was upstairs for at least an hour. He hadn't been asleep for nearly two days now, but his youthful Witch-self showed no signs of exhaustion. He had a towel around his waist and seemed to be acting unsettlingly normal. He opened the fridge and grabbed a picture of tea and poured himself a glass. He then grabbed a piece of the cold pizza and crammed it into his mouth. "What are you watching?" He asked having never had any real interest in mortal television he was acting very off from normal. He kissed Variel's cheek and sat beside of her finishing the pizza. Still in his towel he stretched back and put an arm behind her head.
Salem was feeling blood rush from his body and everything was going dark quickly. He didn't even have it in him to flinch as Max seemed to seize control over whether or not he died. He was probably only still alive and conscious given his Witch attributes of enhanced healing. The wounds weren't going to seal so easily, but his mind was forcing activity to keep him conscious. All of her words simply seemed to blur together, but he caught the jest of it all. He couldn't even speak hardly. His eyes blank and unfocused. "I want to see Erin." He seemed to plead as tears streamed down his eyes. His aura was long faded and Max's rush of adrenaline brought Alex to being alert. He raced in wearing just the boxers Max had given him. "What the Hell?! This kid doesn't know when to suck it up does he?" Alex raced downstairs to grab a phone. He dialled 911 and ran back up to the bathroom. "An ambulance is on it's way. What the hell were you thinking kid?" He said knowing that Max was jsut talking to him to keep him conscious. Alex would have had a lot more harsher words to say than something like, "You aren't putting this on me." He would have crushed the kids self-esteem entirely. Probably would have hit him hard enough to knock some sense into him. Salem couldn't remain focused at all. His mind was flushed out with memories, thoughts, and everything happening on the outside. He was a lost cause and accident prone if anyone ever was. Alex being usual, "What do you mean? Of course the kid wanted to die. Just because he didn't use a gun doesn't mean anything. I swear sometimes your act of heart before duty is sad, Max. You need to teach this kid a lesson when he comes to." Sirens were cutting around two blocks from Max's house. Both police sirens and ambulance sirens. "Witch or not this kid isn't going to be enjoying graduation." Alex moved back to the room and pulled some pants on. He found some more guy clothes in anear closet and pulled out some basketball shorts. He leaned down to Salem once he got back in the bathroom and slid them on. "Might as well make sure he isn't anymore embarrassed of his dumbass than what he will be." Looking at Salem he knew he couldn't really comprehend anything either of them would say, but he kept running his mouth to give Salem something to listen to. Something to keep his eyes open. "You are going through a lot of psych evaluations after this, kid. You know what that means? It means you are getting put into a crazy house full of crazy people who have done a lot worse than this. I would have stuck to the gun." Finally, Alex had to shut it when a hard knock came form downstairs. Two paramedics and an officer walked in and Alex led them upstairs to the bathroom.
When Ian got the call that some teenager had tried to commit suicide this close to graduation he began to wonder if it was because the kid didn't graduate. As he walked up the stairs he suddenly realized who's house he was in. It was the Sheriff's house and what she was doing with a teenager in her house made him question a breaking and entering felony charge on the kid. He already had a stretcher under his arm leading the paramedics upstairs. When he looked in he frowned..."Um, Sheriff...You know this kid?" He asked simply because it was now his job to ask questions.
Artemus grinned still a bit shaky after such fun. His chest was still heaving and his hands and legs were jerking. She really used up all the energy he had in him. He shouldered his leather jacket onto his arms and smirked before kissing her lips deeply. This time he bit down a bit harder than before on her bottom lip pulling away with clear mischievousness in his eyes. "Alright, let's put on a show then." Artemus ran the pain through his mind knowing very well that Witches could read minds, some more so than others, like Kali Kamala, but he had to keep playing pain and violence in his mind to keep Damien confused. "I'll see you tonight...I expect I don't need to arrange a meeting place. I'm sure the Wraith who can avoid capture so amny times has a way of finding people." He grinned before walking toward the exit of the alley. Artemus was very excited to free his sister of Damien finally and it was all falling into place now.
Salem found his way into the bathroom. He undressed out of the scraps of clothes he was in. He turned the bath water on and allowed steam to fill the bathroom. The water just kept running. He felt only pain and anger inside of him and now he really wanted it to end. Salem wiped the fogged up mirror and looked at himself blankly. He then thought about how helpless he felt every time the hunters showed up. He felt weak and lazy. He could do nothing to stop them. "I'll see ya soon, Erin." He said softly finding a pack of razors in the closet with towels. He grabbed on and broke the blade out of it. He stopped the tub from filling up. He frowned again. Now he focused his energy entirely. He pushed it all through the house with no clue that Max was outside. His glowing aura became purple. He was projecting Sloth into the house. It would make Stefan and Alex sleep more deeply, but Max wasn't getting the effect. He slid into the tub his eyes filling with tears. He didn't show any true emotions as he pulled the blade down his right wrist. It was deep and he knew the damage was done. He then did the same to the other. He slid down into the tub where only his neck and head was above water. The water quickly became red. He hadn't bothered to lock the door because he presumed by the time everyone got up from their dosage of Sloth he would already be free of pain and agony and burdening anyone else with his misery.
((Sounds good...What does tbh mean?))After a night of raging, violent, kinky, and painful fun Artemus found himself being tossed out of a portal. They had left Senka's house and were now back in the alleyway. "Whoa..." He said before standing and wincing in pain. He gripped his shoulder which was clawed to pieces. Luckily, his leather jacket was unscathed. His pants were ripped to his skin where claw marks could be seen. His bare chest marked severely and he loved every second of it. Even his neck had a bit of a deep gash in it. It wasn't too long. They had only been gone a few hours it was maybe 12:00 now in the afternoon. "Maybe next time we can reverse those roles?" He asked wincing again as it hurt to even flinch a muscle. His entire body ached, but it was certainly worth it. "What was that position you had me in? I didn't know my body could bend like that and still get my rocks off the right way." He was very amazed by her experience and it only made him more aroused thinking about what they had done. He straightened his composure..."Alright, so I seek out Damien and I give him the message...right?" He asked still not able to shake what the rest of their nights together might be like.
