161682 Stefan wanted to tell her it was going to be okay, but right now even as well as he knew women he knew it wouldn't help. "Variel...If your brother is smart he will realize the same things you are. He will realize that screwed up. Sure, he may have betrayed your trust, he may have tried to kill me. However, understand that you are twins. You are brother and sister and that is a bond that will not break. I know for a fact even if he doesn't apologize or ask for forgiveness if you call him he will come back if you truly need him. I'm not going to tell you it will all be okay and he will come around, but I know better than most that even in your darkest moments when you need someone more than ever it will be your family who will stand by you. You brother cares for you. He even admitted that what he was doing was his idea of protecting you." Stefan noticed her flinch and started to react very cautiously. "Variel...Look at me. You need to breath. Do not stress out anymore than what you have." He was cursed with being death to all, but even death felt life and Stefan felt an energy pulse from Variel that he could only explain by life trying to escape her. "You are in labor. I need you to take slow deep breaths. Breath in through your nose and exhale through your mouth. Can you do that for me?" He asked trying to remain calm as he had never been in a situation quite like this one. "Come on we will get in the car and I can get you to the hospital. You are not doing a home birth here. I am not a mid-wife." He said trying to keep her light hearted about it all. He held the small of her back firmly and guided her toward the door.

Artemus was putting his helmet on and about to start his bike up at the end of the driveway. Stefan glared, but knew now was the best time for them to make up. "Mikah! Artemus! Whoever you are....Variel is in labor!" Artemus turned his head with his helmet on and even though his face couldn't be seen Stefan guessed it was concern as he got off the back and ran at inhuman speed to Variel. "Vari? Are you alright? Please be okay." He opened the car door and quickly moved back to Variel to sweep her into his arms laying her in the back seat. Stefan got in on the other side of Variel and Artemus ran back into the house finding the keys and his leather jacket quickly. He raced into the driver seat..."Sorry, I'm probably a better driver." Stefan shrugged, "Just go!"
Mar 29, 2016 07:50PM

161682 Artemus looked taken back. This wasn't the Vari he knew just as much as he wasn't the Mikah she knew. He gritted his teeth in frustration his left hand balling into a tight fist like he was about to punch her. His snake eyes locked in on their prey and the snake inside hissed in eager anticipation egging him on to attack and kill. He raised his fist like he was about to punch Variel and his canines became slender and long just like snake fangs. His tongue split in two at the end and flickered. "I've never been more powerful than when I'm with her Variel. I feel more in control of my path than I have felt in a very long time. Guess what...If you choose Damien over blood...Keep him. You are no sister of mine." His shoulder hit her as he pushed past her and he turned swinging the door open. "I wanted your protection. That is the only real reason I saw an ally in her. She was going to get Damien one way or another. I was ensuring your protection by sacrificing myself to her. Remember that when you two meet again." His tongue flickered with a sharp and hungry hiss as he slammed the door shut. 'Damnit I forgot my favorite jacket.' He thought to himself deciding to leave it for Variel. This was the last time they would see each other as true family. The last time as brother and sister, the next meeting will be as enemies.

Stefan moved to Variel quickly knowing she was going to break down any second. That's what made him a manwhore in school when he lived in Germany. He knew women and how they felt even before they had time to feel it. He was a true womanizer but to a friend or his master's familiar he was there to help get through the moments that hurt the most. "Vari...Don't chase after him. If you do he will think he has won. Don't let him see fear or pain...It will only make him want you dead more. He is going to regret ever saying that and when it comes to it...I'm betting he would take a bullet for you in the end." Stefan said with his hands gently holding her shoulders.
Mar 29, 2016 06:36PM

161682 Stefan held his throat gasping as Artemus was jerked off of him hard. He felt drained and weak. Artemus's eyes glowed a lusty pink. "I'm fine." He managed glaring over at Artemus still holding his throat. His healing factor only kicked in when he died completely, but he was pretty close. He felt all of his being drain into Artemus it was frightening. He never wanted to experience anything like that again. Stefan watched Artemus closely knowing he would try to slide out of Variel's wrath like a typical snake.
Artemus looked at Vari more seriously shoving her off of him, not hard, but hard enough to get her off of him. "My intentions are of no concern to you, Vari. We slept together and she asked me do her a favour. I can't refuse when someone is that good in bed and neither of us end up dead at the end." He smirked slightly in the left corner of his mouth slightly twitching.
"I despise Damien and everything he has made you into. I have my reasons and you won't find them out. Not even after it's happened, Vari, I won't tell you anything. Not her plans or mine." He admitted. "Senka holds the power to destroy half the continent and there is another here who has just as much power in him to take out the other half. If they were to join one another there would be no stopping them. She would get her hits and Cedrik will get his kills and I'll stay in the job helping along to remove obstacles in their way." His glowing pink eyes were dangerous as they still held snake pupils. He was like viper ready to strike.
Mar 29, 2016 04:19PM

161682 Stefan raised an eyebrow at Vari's comment, "All I said was I was glad to see him feeling better. I'm trying to be civil because the guy is your brother, even if his pains are faked." He glared at Artemus who dropped the act of pain quickly as he stood up moving in a blur and slamming Stefan by his throat against the wall, "Listen up worm...I have no tolerance for you or your existence. Keep your tongue held before I hold it for you." Artemus's eyes turned snake-like and a low hissing was coming from the back of his throat. He was ready to strike hard snake or human form Artemus tasted the sins on him and Lust tasted delicious right about now. He kissed Stefan deeply and Stefan's eyes widened in shock then fear as he felt his own life force being sucked from his body. Stefan tried to push back from Artemus but the guy was bigger and stronger than him and he was hungry too.

161682 ((OI?))
Mar 29, 2016 04:09PM

161682 Well, technically speaking it's not so much as the dominant/Recessive gene it is actually much like you described it is passed from the mother, however, it has been noted to pass from the father at times as rare as it actually is. Witches who are even educated in mortal science and study DNA and genetics can't not seem to pinpoint the "Witch Gene" However, it is almost always passed from the mother. It never really has been a dispute as most tend to accept they will have either magical or non-magical children. It is more ringing around if the father is the only Witch and is a very realized Witch then his children will inherit such power as it is more perceptive in him to begin with.
However, Women naturally hold a deeper connection to "the Power". Nothing waivers the line between reality and magic more than carrying a child/Child's spirit which is far more susceptible than simple sperm passing from the father into the mother.

As for your character a bit more colorful:
(Names are added for storyline)
Katrina Eaveswood was a powerful Guardian/Secretkeeper. She led the Coven's group of Guardians as Lead Guardian. Unfortunately, she found pleasure mixing with business. A mere mortal who found himself drawn to the Coven was getting too close. Carson Jacobs was oblivious to Hunters and the true nature of what being a Witch in a Coven meant. He found himself learning of their existence out of obsession. Katrina was tasked with steering him from the Coven and discovering who they were. Eventually, Katrina got too close to her objective. They found one another enticing and drew themselves into a bond that only powerful magic could attempt to break. Katrina's first mistake was not informing the Seer of the bond she had made with the mortal man. He second was trying to hide it from the Coven Council.
Once discovered it was too late. The deed had been done and their bond was sealed. They married in secret neither mortal nor witch family knew of the lovers. The more troublesome bit was the fact that Katrina was pregnant. For such disgrace and treachery against the Coven both Carter and Katrina had their memories banished. Katrina's powers were taken by the High Priest and they forbade them from remaining within the Coven's territory as such the disgrace that they were. Katrina's Familiar, Tyler was executed before her memories could be taken so she would have to suffer the severed bond even without memories of why she felt empty inside without her Familiar.
Carter and Katrina found themselves with the intense urge to move away from Grievance Ridge. The couple left out of state entirely without daring to look back. Katrina knew nothing of the powers she once held, even though, in her dreams glimpses of her past would still come to surface.
It was not long and the couple had a daughter. Jacelyn, was her father's pride and her mother's joy. At least that was until the parents found their daughter exhibiting strange abilities than no normal child should be capable of or any human for that matter. It concerned them. She was placed into intensive therapy and testing. Finally, her parents could stand it no more. Katrina and Carter had a talk recalling their dreams to one another and came to the conclusion whether real or not their dreams meant something and it had something to do with their daughter.

161682 Cedrik felt strange that Aurelia saw more use out of him and began to question what use was he to her to begin with. It set him on edge before Cedrik moved closer to her stepping away from the fox. "My next course of action...Well, I have felt a lot of power presence's in this shit-hole town. I desire nothing more than to find these powers and create an army of immortals. I want the world to be under our rule. The new Supreme is nothing as a leader, but he is immortal which means he is eligible to join a group of elite magic users who will last through the ages to not just rule Witches, but the world as a whole. We will conquer all enemies and we will be unstoppable." He tilted his head at her his eyes narrowing more intently, "You of course will be one of these immortals. A different sort of immortal but as you die and are reborn we can use your age to lure younger generations will will imbue the power of immortality upon."
Mar 27, 2016 10:12PM

161682 Artemus glared at Vari for not feeling the same way as he did. "Vari...He is dangerous. He has the power to touch people and kill them. He is walking death and even on a Familiar especially a pregnant one it cannot be good...You will end up dead if you don't get rid of him." Artemus sat up finally a bit straighter now. "Do not trust him, Vari." He warned her. "You saw how he tried to turn you against me." He suggested with a half smirk which was always his notorious look as a child which held mischievous intent and yet a rather bit of charm.
Stefan finally walked back in with a grimace as he stared at Artemus standing up . He entered the kitchen and poured a glass of water for himself. As he walked back in he glanced at Vari and then at Artemus before standing in the darker corner once more. "Good to see you are feeling better." He said holding no sort of tone at all.

161682 Damien looked rather confused as Reyna simply ran off into nothingness for silence. He turned around facing Salem, Ian, and Kali...Not to mention wold-Eli. "Reyna is going to help track." He just took Ian into actual account with a raised eyebrow, "Sorry, officer, but this place needs to be taped off...I think it best you get moving along." Damien walked toward Ian casually grabbing his in his fist by the shirt and pulling Ian to him. It was odd as Damien's body turned into a bright ghostly red image merging with Ian. Suddenly, When Ian coughed and opened his eyes his eyes turned completely black. Ian/Damien smirked, "Officers, get these innocent people out of here and tape off this scene, immediately!" He called out and they appeared rather confused as Ian, the real Ian, told them this already..."Yes...yes, Sir." One called rushing more and more people out. Ian flinched like he was in pain and bended over holding his stomach in pain as glowing red ghost Damien pulled out of his back before becoming solid again. "That was fun." Ian started to throw up violently. Damien patted his back, "There there, go get some coffee and cool down for abit. Shooting people can do a nasty number on the body and mind."
Ian glared not wanting his cover blown by the one person he was meant to keep the closest eye on.
Mar 25, 2016 09:33PM

161682 He didn't flinch in pain or anything when she bumped him. He wasn't even thinking to act anymore. "You are great Vari, and I'm sure your friend is just fine. If she was in any war she can take care of herself, I promise you that." He sat up still not flinching. Faking it around Variel was a lot harder than he thought when he caught himself he hoped she hadn't noticed at all. Then he looked at her more seriously. "I don't trust that Stefan guy. He isn't human anymore and he isn't normal." He already knew that Variel understood that he was able to find out anything about anyone at the tip of his fingers. He had a hitlist he couldn't help it if his society knew every Witch, Wraith, Cursed One, Sleepwalker, and Familiar. Variel took some digging, but she made her way to his list too.

161682 It's alright I haven't been on much today but I didn't know I wouldn't be until it was too late to notify.
Mar 25, 2016 07:48PM

161682 Artemus seemed a bit emotionless for a moment holding no real expression for concern. In his head he wanted to be there to enjoy the suffering Senka would inflict on the Sleepwalker. "I expect the Wraith will become bored with her and put Max out of her misery...OR she may just see how far she can push Max mentally before she breaks. She tried to convince me she already had you and nearly became bored with it. I wasn't giving up hope, but I didn't show it. I was scared for you, Vari. I couldn't imagine what I would have done without you."

161682 Damien looked at Ash still not trusting him. He looked at Reyna and downed his head, "All I know is she can teleport and summon Hellfire. She is a servant of Lucifer...Or an actual daughter...I find the second hard to believe given no ancient has ever had children in recorded history apart from Hekate. I do not know much else about her. She acted as though Ash held no power over her. He may have cut himself off from Wraith's but his power in divine authority is over all Witches and those touched by magic. She acted as though it did nothing to her when he commanded her. She didn't touch Max as he commanded either though. She used her powers to push both Max and Stefan from her. She followed his commands but found loopholes rather quickly. " Damien informed her a bit dismissively not feeling that it would be enough to go on. Damien could not tell it aloud anymore. He beleived enough people knew about him being a Wraith and he was not letting any more souls walk away with knowing such a fact.
Ash shook his head, "I really am not sure if that is enough information, but Lucifer does hold power over her. If you can catch a sense of the power the Wraith was using you might be able to find both of them."

Salem frowned, "Don't lie to him Kali. I'm not Ascended yet, but my eighteenth birthday is this year and I don't want you to think I'm not advanced enough, but I have developed some pretty great powers. I'm sorry if I haven't controlled them fully yet." Ian rolled his eyes, "Alright, you got a good heart, but I expect you to be working harder on your control this year otherwise you will have none of my respect." He looked to Kali..."I'll cut the crime scene off until I can get back to it. Normal people and underage Witches should not be apart of this at all. That Wraith has done enough damage. I'll have to write it off as a gas leak in the school and have the school closed for inspection over the summer break." He looked at Salem very directly not wanting him involved with his uncontrolled abilities no telling what might happen. Ian turned to his fellow officers, "When you are finished with the interviews," He called to them, "I want this entire school permitter checked and taped off. No one gets in until I get back for investigation, understood?" They nodded and started moving people out of the building. Ian looked at Kali again, "What can I do? As far as Max goes...She is like me. If she gets captured she won't talk. She might try to provoke her if anything, but as far as information goes she won't be willing it out to people. With her pain thing well...She may laugh at them. She might cause more harm for herself than she will good. I expect that she will play it off long enough. She isn't going to want to be found if she knows who is in danger if she is found. She will observe the Wraith and she will take note of any sign of weakness. In case she does get out a live she will relay any information she has gathered on her captor. She hopefully will fake pain for a bit, but it's doubtful. She is very true to herself and by being so to herself to others even more so. Emotions are the last thing on her mind unless she has a flashback of her war experience I expect she will maintain herself well enough to observe anything and everything around her. She will be planning ahead ten steps in eight different directions. There is really only the basic predictable parts about her. I only know that much because it's what I would do." Ian explained carefully.
Mar 25, 2016 06:48PM

161682 Cedrik smirked, "No I'm not hungry for mortal supplements. I hungry for power. That drained me when that pathetic Hunter shot me...Even more so when he shot me in the head. I would much rather drain someone of all their energy and power." He went silent for a moment beginning to wonder where her loyalties rested. Cedrik had always thought of mortal Guardians and Hunters as one in the same. They both killed Witches one specifically targeted Wraiths, the other had no care. "Tell me, what made you want to save me? They could have easily kept me sedated and bound me in iron while they researched how to kill someone of my kind. You ran from your own Coven members to save an enemy to the cause of Order and Peace." He followed her finding her fox rather curious. He stood in the doorway still shirtless wearing nothing but the jeans she had allowed him to borrow. Leaning against the frame he watched her closely while also examining the surroundings and tasting the magic in the air. "I taste magic...But I see no other Witches but yourself."

161682 Ash looked at Reyna with a nod, "The moment I find something you have my word that you will know the name and location of their presence." He looked at Damien curiously. Damien looked back at Ash rather aggressively, "I know all sorts of people involved with murders and killings. I know that for a fact the Wraith you saw here moments ago is still in this town somewhere and if you want a killer of your dear husband...Well, he just vanished." Damien knew about Cedrik's past. He did his best to not even summon the guy when he called for allies like a beacon, but Cedrik answered the call anyway. He wasn't going to give any more details than what she just asked about so there it was his debt was paid. "Now, find Max and Senka for us."

Ian glared at Salem once more before softening, "Just try a bit more when you are talking about me to keep those things to yourself. I'm loyal to the Coven, but as far as I'm concerned you aren't a part of the Coven until you have Ascended. You are still no older than my brother and clearly have yet to Ascend. Earn your place in the Coven and my threats will mean nothing." Ian couldn't help that he felt everything in life had to be earned out of respect, power, and loyalty. It was how he thought and not to mention to women he was a gentleman. Salem simply nodded looking at Kali.
Mar 24, 2016 03:29PM

161682 It took nearly five hours for Cedrik to come back to the land of the living. His other wounds healed quickly, but the bullet hole in his brain was certainly harder to heal. Slowly his brain tissue reformed and the skull fragments sealed. Finally, Cedrik jumped up breathing heavily. He was in total darkness when dead. There was no Hell for him like other Wraith's and Witches. It was simply darkness, nothingness was all that existed. Unless that was his Hell Cedrik found the quiet rather peaceful. It's pretty bad if the guy can't even suffer the right way. Perhaps his loyalty to the Horned God allowed him peace. He looked at his surroundings recalling that it was Aurelia's home they had been at. Cedrik looked over in the armchair finding Aurelia. She was still alive, which meant the Witches let her go for aiding him. "Are you still with us?" He asked cautiously.
Mar 24, 2016 03:19PM

161682 Artemus frowned at the news of Senka taking Max. She must have done it after he left to come here. He smirked a bit of a comforting smile, "It will be alright, Vari. I'm sure Max will make it out. I promise if that woman is anything she is sadistic. She will be as bad as me if not worse, but she might be message number two. Perhaps she is just toying with Damien right now. Torture is pretty lengthy and I'm betting she will make it last." Artemus may not have sounded convincing enough for her as torture for anyone didn't sound good. To Artemus torture meant alive at least the Sleepwalker would be alive. "I'm sure they will get to her in time."

Salem patted Eli on the head curious if Familiars and Sleepwalkers liked that sort of thing in their animal forms. Salem looked at Kali a bit nervously, "I'm sorry...Did I miss something? I am not that powerful. I'm not sure what you and Ash and Damien think I have in me, but it is probably cowardice simply being mistaken for power." He then glanced at Ian, "So what's your story...I get it you are a policeman. A pretty loyal guy no doubt..." Salem started rambling not realizing he was picturing the guys memories in his head. "Parents abandoned you, raised like a true gentleman by some lady named Cynthia? I'm sure her death was a real loss to you no doubt." He thought he was imagining the guys life story and didn't realize he was saying it all out loud. "Finally met your parents jsut before you were of legal age and found yourself wanting to raise your brother away from a drunk Guardian and an out-of-date Seer, both cursed for as long as you and your brother lived. I'm sure the trip here was fun for you especially when you became a Guardian. You seem to hold power in loyalty...No wonder the Coven holds you in interest."
Eli tilted his head up to Kali before glancing up at Salem. What was the kid doing? Was he really saying this guy's life story in a short Salem commentary version? Eli growled low.

Ian was in just as much shock as Eli was, "Who do you think you are kid? Keep my thoughts and memories in my head and out of your mouth. I can find a crime to detain you with if I have to just to keep your mouth shut." Salem blinked a bit confused at why Ian was threatening him..."Huh? Oh sorry...I mean I didn't mean to offend you. I was just...I...I don't know what I was saying." He lost his train of thought which was rather ironic given he was blessed with the power over memory.

Damien raised an eyebrow at Reyna, "Alright, what game are you playing at then? Go on...I haven't got all day. What are you asking for?" He said no longer amused by this situation now that the scale was no longer in his favor.
Ash nodded in agreement. The guys were on a role of becoming besties. "Yeah, just tell us what you ask of us within reason and we shall provide."
