Just finished Age of War. I need the rest of the series to come out right now!

I read some more of Age of War and am really loving it, but it's also breaking my heart.

Hope you're enjoying it, Melanie!
Sorry you didn't like your book more, Andrea. Hopefully the others are better.

Alright, here are a couple of more comments for Avempartha. Definitely liked it just as much this time around.
In regards to Arista:
(view spoiler)[She didn't annoy me as much on this reading. I found her rather bland and annoying the first time I read this, but I liked her a lot more this time. Maybe because I have more of her story from having finished the series. Not sure. (hide spoiler)]In regards to Magnus:
(view spoiler)[I like that Royce didn't outright kill him, because it's interesting to have these kind of morally gray characters (Royce himself is one). But I am surprised that there wasn't more of a fuss about him with Mauvin, though I guess he was distraught over Fannen. (hide spoiler)]About Mauvin:
(view spoiler)[Really, I love this guy. The entire Pickering family is brilliant and I wish that I could join their family. I want to be trained to sword fight and live with them at Drondil Fields. I am sad about Fannen though. That is going to break Mauvin's heart. He wasn't even concerned about himself, he just wanted to help his brother. (hide spoiler)]

I finished Avempartha and made a nice dent in Age of War.

I only have about 50 pages left of Avempartha, so I should finish that off. And I've listened to some of The Alloy of Law. I will hopefully get some more read in Age of War tonight.

I don't have a specific page goal or book goal, but I want to read during this time. I would like to finish Age of War and Avempartha. Finishing off the 6th HP would be good too.

Did you guys start with the first book?

I did enjoy this book, but it wasn't my favorite. Which is how I felt about the first one when I read it as well. I think I do want to continue with the series.
Some thoughts:
(view spoiler)[I really liked Bovril and wonder what, exactly, the loris' are supposed to be able to do. Also, are they only supposed to bond with two people like that if they are a couple?
And does Lillit know that she's a girl? That kiss scene was funny and I wasn't sure if she knew or not...
Wondering where the Leviathan will take them now. (hide spoiler)]

Will make some comments on earlier things later, but I just finished chapter 35 of Behemoth and
(view spoiler)[it's hilarious that the girl likes Deryn. That's gonna be awkward. (hide spoiler)]

Welcome, Zoe! Good idea to join an English book club. I'm sure it will be helpful for you learning English. And I will have to look that book up!
Please feel free to join our challenges.

I have to go to bed, but I really want to stay up and read Age of War. I am loving it. It's been a while since I've felt this invested in a book.

Ah, didn't realize that. Saw his name and was like nope. Hahaha.

I read two John Green books and never plan to read another. He really just doesn't work for me

That's great!
I also read some more of my HP book, so hopefully I can finish that fairly soon.

I've read some of Age of War today and hopefully will read more tonight. I'm really liking it so far. About 21% in. Probably won't finish a book thus weekend, but that's ok.
