I just finished Not Quite Dead Yet and wow!

I'm going to read this one next and start it tonight after dinner out and watching a TV program with my husband. Then I'll read some, hopefully at least up through 10 chapters.

(view spoiler)[CRAP!!! I didn't want her to die!! Jeez. I'm so angry. Lies, secrets, her freaking mom being so awful like she is AND having an affair on top of it all.

Her death scene was gut-wrenching. I'm kind of glad that she died in Billy's arms though because they truly cared for each other, loved each other even whatever kind of love they had it was real. So at least she died with someone she knew truly loved her and not her awful mom's arms! I couldn't help but to tear up during that scene.

So many shocking turns of events and family reveals. Ugh...this one was really, really good! (hide spoiler)]

And I'm still hoping that something prevents her from dying. I don't know what but something. Billy is such a good guy. I hope if she dies that he isn't there for his sake but there for hers if that makes sense. No one wants to die alone. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[OMG! I can't even imagine tampering with ANYONE'S medication for ANY reason! Sophie is awful! How could she not know that she was putting her FIL in danger. Obviously she did since she said she didn't want to kill him, only make him a little sick so he'd retire early. Just awful!

And Luke, how could he put his dad's business/his entire life in danger by paying committing tax evasion and messing up his dad's books like that. What an awful thing to do. At least wait until it's yours and then take chances on messing up your own business and not your dad's!

And Oh, My Gosh! That fire! When Billy couldn't get the door open, I wondered if someone had tried to lock them in. I wonder who set the fire. It has to be someone trying to kill her and Billy is collateral damage. I'm so glad they got out and that she FINALLY sounded real when she kept saying she didn't want to die. I hope she doesn't end up dying and that the doctor was wrong. The way he went back for her and some of the things he says, I have a feeling he's in love with her and he would love to be more than friends. Ugh...I don't want her to die. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I agree that it looks like Sophia and Luke might be the culprits. Sophia seems to much into things. It would make sense that one or both of them could've gotten that loan in Jet's name, especially if they made some kind of plans to move forward with the business they assumed they'd get.

What a horrible thing to live with knowing you're likely going to die soon and dealing with the symptoms. But she's seemed so matter-of-fact/nonchalant about it. That's the one thing that doesn't seem realistic to me. Where's her emotion that she's going to die? I don't see many people being that way in real life. (hide spoiler)]

Monday

(view spoiler)[I don't know who I think it is, but with both Andrew and JJ wearing a red wig that makes them both sus. It's hard to say who could've used her name and info to get that loan but if she had given him her SS# and all of that, he could've. I don't really see Sophia clobbering Jet like that but she is suspect also.

And I agree about the parents, especially her mom. I was surprised when her dad got upset that she had upset her mother. I would definitely want to respect my daughter's decision even though I'd want her to try for the surgery, but I'd spend every minute I could with her in a good space and not be upset all the time with her.

I am beginning to wonder if Billy isn't too curious about what all the police and Jet know so far about the crime and if they know anything. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Wow! I can't even imagine being given the choices Jet was given, but I think I'd take my chances with the surgery. At least if I died on the table I'd be out and not feel it. I assume.

I'm thinking someone might've thought there was something incriminating on her phone and that's why they took it.

I don't think it's Billy unless he had a reason to fake going to her house and freaking out when he found her, but I don't really suspect him.

Sophia went to her house twice. Interesting she left cookies with a note and she went back. There must've been a good reason for her to go back, especially since she was toting her baby around so that would be a hassle unless it was important.

There are too many clues that it must've been someone she knows. But who? And JJ texting that apology. Why? Was he sorry he attacked her? (hide spoiler)]

I had posted my book for Merida on the SS but when I got to review and thread and posted it THEN I saw that others had finished that one off. I think it would be respectful if someone adds a book after the 4 books are listed in a character's spot to let others know. Some of you read faster and some slower, so please if we have claimed a spot at least notify that person that you've removed them from a book.

(view spoiler)[Wow! What an ending! I felt for Spencer when Jude got her diagnosis and then told him that they didn't have a "real" relationship because he really cared about her.

I love that they all go to to travel together again and now I get the importance of all of the chapters having the states included in them. How awful to find out that your sister is so ill and then after so long of not speaking dealing with all of that. :(

I loved Roddy's and Winston's relationship so I'm glad they made it. I had a feeling they would.

I Love that Gemma had her baby and teared up when they named him Jude. So bitter sweet. But I'm glad they're going to do the trips together again. Loved this one. (hide spoiler)]

I don't quite understand whey Jude kept it a secret that she went to the last state with her mom 20 years ago! I mean that's LONG time to keep something like that a secret. I like how the author gives us something on each character so far, and they all have their own POV's. Gemma, I worried about her having her first round of IVF at 43 and not even knowing if she wanted a baby. Being the oldest, she seems to have gone through a lot "playing" mom. I love Waffles, especially the name. lol

I don't know why their dad told their mom she couldn't take them on trips anymore, but she didn't seem so stable/responsible to me so I'm not too surprised.

and I am also DYING to know why they all stopped communicating after their big fight 3 years ago. Jude being a start might have something to do with things. She's the one who set up for them to all meet so I think she's going to be the one to bring the all back together. She's hiding something but what? I have no idea but it must be important since she's calling this thing for them after 3 years of silence. I'm assuming the make up and get close again. (hide spoiler)]
