YAY!! I'm so glad you loved this one too! It was so unique and such an interesting approach to a mystery (view spoiler)[ and I do love, as much as I hated it, that the author didn't give us that miracle. As much as I wanted her to stay, we knew it was a ticking time bomb and she wouldn't survive.

right?! I think this was my first from the author and I hated that I didn't follow it fully. And yes, the ending really did start to dive into it and really dig in! I loved how it all pulled together - I got a little teary eyed, the ending was so good! But yeah, the route there was confusing and I wanted to love it more!!

YAY! I'm so glad you liked this one too! I found the parts really shocking too, especially near the end and I was glad for the partial redemption for that one in the end too. Oddly addictive story, right? it did a good job of making the reader feel abandoned and isolated in those tunnels!
