Finished! the ending was just as good as i remembered. i'm pumped for book 3 reread and definitely back on this series train. (view spoiler)[ love that Dorian and Caleana have patched things up. i'm still a little sad about her and Chaol but at least she's not still trying to kill him. i forgot about stupid Archer and his role in everything so i got to be surprised by that plot twist all over again! when Caleana left i thought she told Chaol her real name not a clue so i definitely remembered that wrong but overall great read. Ch.34-44 (view spoiler)[ yes we are getting into it now! I’m glad Dorian and Caleana are confiding in each other. It’s only gotta help right? There’s one thing I remember happening to Dorian and I can’t remember if it’s this book or next and I feel like I’m in the edge of my seat waiting for it but also glad it’s not happening yet. Ch.14-22 (view spoiler)[ yay they finally kissed! it was just as magical as i felt the first time i read it. i'm glad for that little spark because it has been hard going back through this reread. i forgot about how hesitant Dorian was to discuss the magic and i feel like i'm yelling at him the same way i did in 2020 haha. so apparently i am not good at doing re-reads. i think the only other series i read multiple times was HP and that was when i was younger and didn't work or have to cook my own meals lol.

Ch.1-13 (view spoiler)[ so Celaena is officially the king's champ and has assignments to kill people. however, she is still her rebellious self and is not actually doing this. i semi-remember parts of the Archer plot but can't remember it all. it is dragging a bit because i miss the Dorian-Celaena ship, even though i swore i was team Chaol? maybe book 3 is when i changed my mind? it was also 2020, everything is different now haha.
