I loved the ending as well. I'm glad the Sloane thing was resolved but I also wish we would have gotten to see her reconnect with her other friends, especially Dawn.

These were short chapters but I was laughing all the way through chapter 12. All of these characters are precious babies and I love them.

Every time I read a Morgan Matson book, I always feel like I need to listen to more music because while I recognize a good chunk of the artists in the playlists, and maybe even a few songs, the majority are a mystery to me.

Can I just say that I still think Gideon is super adorable, and while I know they weren't technically a good match, I still was pulling for it a little bit? He kept her surfing bear tattoo! Even though there were very few interactions with him, I could really clearly picture him and I just find his personality adorable. Plus, the whole situation of them getting together is so realistic. Everyone has had a situation similar, whether it's a friend setting you up with someone or just having someone suggest that a person is cute and suddenly you develop a full blown crush for no reason. Those things happen a lot in high school and it felt so real.

Glad we finally got the confirmation that Sam was a douche and what exactly happened there.

I'm a little confused on the timeline though? I didn't get the impression that Sam and Sloane had just broken up before she left at the beginning of the book but during that flashback, it said Two Months Ago??

I'm wondering what is going on with Lissa. Are they just growing apart from her being gone this whole summer? Is she seeing someone else? She called Emily and was crying/upset so I'm wondering when that big reveal will happen. I need it to soon because I don't like this weird limbo where he is with her but kinda not? Even though Frank and Emily are such cute friends and I'd love it if they stayed that way, they have to get together :)

So I LOVE that this book is focused on friendship. I love the flashbacks we are getting. I love the budding friendship between Emily and Dawn. I love the friendship between Frank and Emily (although it's so obvious to everyone but Emily I think that Frank has a little crush on her). But still upset that it appears Frank still has a girlfriend?!
This book has made me squeal with cuteness giggles more than once.

So I'm loving this. The pacing is perfect and it feels so summery to me. I've also already had butterfly "aw" feelings, as expected from Morgan Matson (the part where Gideon drew the cherry drawings on her wrist and basically anytime Frank is around and being awkwardly adorable).

Wondering:
1. What happened between Gideon, Sam, Sloane, and Emily?
2. Are Frank and his gf still together?! Because it's really hard for me to fully endorse a pairing if one is actually taken.

Looking forward to Emily checking more things off the list!
