With Feyre now being back in the real world I wonder how sh..."
I, personally, found the sex scene pretty awkward...

Now that you mention it, I would have bought her and Lucien as a pairing more than her and Tamlin.

I ship Rhys and Feyre bc bad boys gone good in stories is seriously the best thing ever"
IF THAT WAS THE MATING BOND I WILL LEGIT DIE.
I liked the way it wrapped up and that this story is complete, curse broken and all that. I definitely enjoyed this last 10-20% more than the rest of the book. I think the story was stronger at the end. I love Rhysand.... so much.
I'm still not sure how I feel about her being High Fae, but that obviously had to happen. I'm glad that transformation didn't happen too late in the series (like Twilight). I hope this will make her a much stronger character, after all she has been through, and now when she runs face first into danger, I won't roll my eyes as much.
Also, I totally guessed the riddle's answer was love so why did it take her so long?!?
Looking forward to the next book very much. This book overall was between a 2-2.5 stars for me because of how many issues I had with the majority of the story, but I do like where it is going and the characters we will be seeing in future books.
Rhysand.
Looking forward to discussing more in the liveshow!!!

I'm enjoying Feyre much more since she's arrived under the mountain. Her decisions actually make sense.
I love that the next book is obviously going to be a Hades/Persephone retelling, with her having to go to the Night Court every month. I'm here for it.
I knew Rhysand was going to be a complex, morally grey character. He didn't tell Amarantha Feyre's name, he bet on her in the first challenge, he healed her when he didn't have to, he spared the people from the Summer Court as best he could, he protected her and Tamlin during their makeout session, he's helped her with the tasks, and as she said, he didn't need to bargain with her to heal her. UGH. I adore him and I'm so looking forward to the second book now. I hope Feyre's character keeps being this consistent and I'm really looking forward to more Rhysand. Obviously.

That scene with Tamlin & Feyre at the end of Fire Night was hot. Only because they explained the ritual would have Tamlin acting not h..."
Violet-eyed stranger was the highlight for me!

I'm glad we finally got a reason for Tamlin's behavior when she first came and an explanation of the curse. I liked that tie in to Beauty and the Beast. Although I would have liked if that was made clear a little sooner than this. I didn't like how Alis explained the whole thing for her. I would have liked Feyre to discover more of it on her own without someone telling her everything.
Rhys is up to something. He didn't reveal that he knew her name. There's more to him than meets the eye. He appears to be a loyal servant to the queen, but I don't think that's entirely true.
Also, I think the answer to the riddle is Love. Any guesses?

Rhysand reminds me of the Darkling and so I love him. There is no going back. That is going to be an interesting character.
I love how Lucien didn't want her to leave. Precious.
Again with the stupid decisions though. Why didn't she mention what the Suriel said about needing to stay with him?! Of course she's not going to be safe in the human world! I'm sure the Night Court will go looking for her and now no one can defend her. I wonder how many chapters before she gets back to Pruthian...

I loved the scene with the dying faerie. It made me like Feyre more and I wish her character showed that strong and dependable side more often instead of the irrational side.
Really interested in our dark stranger at the ritual. I think I know who it is and I already love him. He reminds me of The Darkling from the Grisha trilogy.
I had similar problems with the Tamlin/Feyre scene. A part of me found it very interesting (it's the first time I've really enjoyed their dynamic) but I also found it problematic. I'm interested to see what happens moving forward with them.

Tamlin hasn't started to grow on me yet either. I don't understand his motivations for kindness yet, so it's hard for me to like him.
Lucien is everything. I adore him. Sass.
I cannot get over Feyre making dumb decisions. She's supposed to be a hunter with a good survival instinct that has kept her family alive this long. But instead of acting like it, she keeps thinking of escaping into the deadly faerie realm, doesn't keep her wits about her, and now hunted down a deadly fae creature and is being stalked by something even worse. I don't understand her!

I just started reading today as well. So far, I'm loving any of the Beauty and the Beast elements (as that is my favorite fairy tale).
I'm wondering why Tamlin spared her?! It seems counter-intuitive. And he's already telling her some important info, which is weird for an un-trusting Fae. But I'm interested to learn more about the sickness. I like the masks as a twist on the curse from Beauty and the Beast.
Also, I already love Lucien. He's a sass machine.
Not sure about my feelings on Feyre yet.
One of my pet peeves popped up. When she was describing herself, she described basically a perfect face (straight nose that scrunches when she laughs, upturned eyes, high cheekbones, etc). I always get annoyed when a character is picking apart their body and it's the exact Western beauty standard.
So far I've found it fast paced enough for me. Now that we are finally at the castle, I'm interested to see where the plot goes.
