160270 It's totally fine :) You are in charge of how much information you want to reveal or not. But basically I would first ask you questions about how you started doing art, when you started, how you get ideas for your art, etc. I would also put a small section that talked about you-- describing you, but I won't put a lot of information about you if you don't want me to.

160270 Sorry, I didn't understand too well. If I tell who first?

and yeah! Sent me your email when you can^^"

Okay, that's cool :) I'm fine with whatever you decide to do.

Sent it!

160270 I have an idea! Would you like it if I wrote a post about you and your art on my blog?

I'd love to see more of your drawings and paintings :) I'll message you my email today. ^_^

Ohh okay, I see what you're saying about Grey. Great job anyway!

160270 And I'm not even kidding when I say that I absolutely love your art :D Do you have a blog or other site where you have pictures of it?
May 20, 2015 08:58AM

160270 Yeah the one that says "Grey is..." and then "Black". Sorry again for taking so long :/

Omg I didn't even notice that! I just thought you were wearing really cool hand gear :D That is AMAZING.

160270 So this is my first summer off since I started college and I totally want to be a lazy bum, but as soon as I figure out artist copyrights I'm going to put out an ad for commissions.

Since I'm at the baby stages of design, they will be free or very very cheap. HOWEVER, there will be a limit to the amount of projects I will do. And other limits as well but I'll talk about them when that time comes.

Also, if you're just an (amazing) artist but nobody knows about you, then I'd love to do a post about you on my blog. Artists unite :D

160270 I'm so sorry I didn't reply sooner Oda!! :( Somehow I missed your update on my Goodreads.

You art is SO awesome. I can't paint/draw people at all so I am amazed by your skills.

I feel like I can't really critique this ;) But for the last, unfinished painting, the person is meant to be lying down right? Maybe you could make that more clear. Like putting detail under it. :)

160270 Hi Oda!

Sorry I've been really busy. It's totally fine if you put your drawings in your profile photos. Just put the link on here and I'll check it out :)

160270 Hey guys,

I'm SO sorry for not posting in a while. School is prety hectic right now. There are new non-bookish projects coming up...would you like to critique those as well?
Apr 03, 2015 08:24AM

160270 Those are some good suggestions :)

I noticed the gray parts not lining up, and that definitely isn't good so I'll try to fix that in some way. I don't think I want to move the cup any more...otherwise I think it would crowd the titled too much.

160270 I just spend almost 3 hours staring at a computer screen trying to figure out my love-hate relationship with this cover lol.

This is the current cover of the book:

description

It's pretty much the same, but you can see that I've added in the basic green of the vines I want. I'll be working on shading those and giving them detail later today.

And here's a small picture of the front, spine, and back covers. All of them are works in progress. My professor said I should do something different with the grey paint strokes on the back. He suggested making it darker but I thought that I might make them lighter with white strokes or something.

160270 Kate: Thanks! Okay, so not just the cup. I'll be playing with the shadowhunter rune and the quote once I finish the green vines (which are going to be a headache). Yeah :P I just haven't added the author yet. You were a lot of help :)

Oda: Yup, I moved the cup to the middle since you and my professor and others commented on that. :) The critiquing is great and everybody has their own opinion so it's all good. Since you and Kate both voted for the symbol, I'm going to play around with it and try to fit it in.

I've tried to see how it looks without the gray paint strokes, but it makes the cover look kind of bare and the cup and background kind of collide too much.

Anybody else have thoughts on the gray behind the cup?

160270 Absolutely, Oda :)

Hi Muhammad, welcome to the group :D

160270 Current cover rendition. It's in NO WAY done yet but I'm happy that I'm actually progressing instead of redoing the same thing about a million times.

I still plan to add vines on the other side but I have to paint them first. *le sigh*

160270 Aw that's too bad
Apr 02, 2015 08:47AM

160270 Lol okay sounds great :D
Apr 02, 2015 08:47AM

160270 I'm working on it :) I'm stressing out so much over this project. I need to just stop worrying and focus. My teacher's pretty tough though :(
Apr 02, 2015 07:15AM

160270 Thanks Oda! That makes me really happy :)

160270 Okay I'll try to explain better :D

1. Upload the picture you want to put here on Photobucket (it's a website).

2. Select that picture (on photobucket) and you'll see several options to the right under share links.

3. Click on the link beside direct.

4. Paste this link in the place where link here is in the html I put above.

5. You can adjust the height and width of the picture as you want. (It's measured in pixels)

6. Take out the "-" in the html I put above.

7. You're all set!
