So far this week, we have a total of 4 books read by Linda, Sallie, Lesa, and Maddison.

We need 6 more. So please keep posting books and I'll cut us off when we've reached our 10 minimum.

Claire and I need to read at least 1 each as of right now.

I had doubts, but it seemed like we were going with the flow so I thought we were on the right, although confusing, track. At least we know now. It still seems odd to read for as few tasks as possible, since that goes against the norm of reading challenges, but that's what we'll do from here on out.

"In regards to Armi's post, I have decided that the recent rule change is not in the spirit of the game. Therefore, I am revoking my post about changing how Jenga Blocks work. As Armi stated, the original intention was for teams to limit the number of books read.

Moving forward, please pick 10 new tasks to read for. Each team member should supply at least one completed task. Any books that remain from a previous week, can be used to complete additional tasks. However, you may decide as a team to space those out. Books that are read but not included on the scoring spreadsheet cannot be banked.

I apologize to everyone for any confusion. I am doing my best to make this entertaining for all and would like to see teams keep their towers standing to earn more points. Good luck teams!"


So apparently all teams have been going about this the wrong way and trying to read for as many books as possible as that is how challenges normally go. However, we need to stick closer to our 10 book minimum each week. So we each have to read at least 1 book per week, but some (most) will need to claim 2 books for us to meet our 10 book minimum. Then we have the left-over books from the previous tower that we can add to that total as well.

It was for task 2 but the blocks go by book read date. Everything below that date falls off the old tower. Does that make sense?

It did, but it was after our Jenga block came up so all these books have to be placed again in the new tower.

YAY!!! We scored 150 points!

Hi Sallie. The only books that can be banked are those leftover after Tower 1 fell. If they couldn't be placed in Tower 2, we were told to hold onto them by banking them. However, we can't bank newly read books for later.
