Hi Esra! I had an amazing time in Turkey (someday, I'll get to visit Germany too). The food, the people, and the underground cities were all fantastic!

Could somebody please answer this question for me? It's way too hard for me. Maybe this would be a great post for a thread here on the Re-Read group or the Fans of Angelfall discussions? When you all come up with the best sentence, please let me know. :)

I'm the same way--my preferences vary depending on what I'm in the mood for. I find that it's best to follow my moods because I seem to enjoy certain kinds of stories much more when I'm already in the mood for it.

What device do you guys read on? What's the big ebook retail store in India?

Everyone IS super nice and friendly! That makes it so much more fun!

I seem to have a lot of readers from the Philippines. Are my books in the stores there or do you have to special order them? What online store do people buy ebooks from? Are they the Hodder versions or Skyscape's?

I still like print books too, Ails, but I ran out of space and can't bring myself to get rid of them. So I'm mostly ebooks and audiobooks now. :)

157649 Marikka wrote: "Is there any possibility for me to get an autograph or a signed copy of one of the three books, although I am living in Germany?"

Wow, Marikka. I'm so impressed that you can read novels in German, English and French. My readers are so awesome!

Thanks so much for your kind interest. For now, we're limited to me signing books in person. I tried offering signed books by mail one year, but that took too much time away from writing, so I haven't offered it since.

157649 HurrikanKathrina wrote: "And I wanted to ask how old is Raffe exactly?"

He's been around a long time. I'm not even sure that angels bother to keep track of age the way we do...

157649 Esha wrote: "I wanted to ask whether you would describe Raffe's past as legendary (glory killing nephilim and all) or as a tragedy (lonely and sad)?"

Legendary. No, wait. Tragedy. Um...Legendary? Some of these questions are hard, you guys!

157649 Gabi wrote: "What are your favorite Raffe/Penryn moments? There are just sooooo many :)"

For Angelfall--their bantering in the woods, the first time Raffe wakes up and talks to Penryn, the time when he sees her pretending with wings, the first time he sees her in a dress, lots of spoiler scenes--they all have good memories for me. :)

157649 Patricia wrote: "My question is about Penryn's mom, other than Raffe and Penryn she is no doubt my favorite character because she's always fascinated me. I would like to know where did you get the inspiration or the propper knowledge to get in her state of mind."

I do a lot of research for my stories. I try to go to the places where the story takes place, experience some of the things my characters experience. I took sword fighting lessons, went to self defense classes, talked to various kinds of people. I did a whole lot of reading and a whole lot of observing.

After doing that, when my characters come to me, I’m in a much better place to communicate to my readers what a character is really like or how it feels when they experience something.

157649 Jenna wrote: "Raffe doesn't even believe in god. What made you choose for this way?"

I didn’t. :) Raffe is agnostic and isn’t sure if he believes or not. And I don’t get to choose much for Raffe. He’s a character who makes his own choices. I was just as surprised as you were when he said that.

Yes, I think one of you told me about them in the first place. I do read and truly appreciate all the messages I get. I just wish I had enough time to respond to all of them. That's why events like this are so great. Thanks to the wonderful people at Hodder for setting this up!

157649 Александра wrote: "What kind of music do you associate with the book?"

During editing, I listened to Two Steps From Hell. They have some epic music that's almost tailor made for Penryn & the End of Days. Even their titles seem right on -- Archangel, Protectors of the Earth, Freedom Fighters; SkyWorld; United We Stand, Divided We Fall; Undying Love; All is Hell That Ends Well; Mercy in Darkness; After the Fall; Perfect Love; Sky Titans

157649 Marikka wrote: "Will we get to know more about Layla and her backstory with Raffe in the final installment? I am very curious about her:)"

Hi Marikka! You'll get a glimpse of Layla and what she's been up to in End of Days, but Raffe likes to keep his private life private if he can help it. Ah, that guy...

157649 Esha wrote: "...who do you (which character?) do you like writing for the most? and why?"

Penryn has always been the most accessible character to me. She opens up in an unselfconscious way and is painfully open and honest with me.

Raffe is a tough nut to crack. There's a lot going on beneath the surface, but he makes me work for any glimpses I might get. And boy, am I grateful when I get a peek inside our angel.
