Hi Esha! Great to see you here again. :) Thanks for stopping by.

157649 Doh! I just realized I should be using spoiler tags. In case you don't know, this is how you do spoilers--(view spoiler) (I edited one of my answers to include spoiler tag)

Raffe was going through a pretty rough time. There were so many things that he should have been able to take for granted—his wings, his friends…among other things…. Writing about him during that time felt painfully private. Sure, he's difficult to write, but aside from that, I am his friend. Out of respect for him, I backed off. I figured you guys have all been through something like this in your lives and could fill in the blanks.

I really love the Angelfall series a lot and all I want to ask is that whether we'll get a chance to read some deleted scenes from your original draft...Will we read them some day?"

Hi Jasmine! The answer is maybe. It’ll take some work on my part to dive into the mess that’s my writing process and dig out scenes that I think you’ll enjoy. So far, I keep choosing to eat and sleep and chat with you guys instead. :)

157649 Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by! It’s great to get another chance to chat with you all. I often don’t get the chance to respond to everyone, so I’ll randomly pick out questions or comments and respond to them. Also, I love hearing a little about you, so feel free to tell us a little about yourself. You don’t have to ask questions to be part of the conversation. :)

157649 Oh, man! I really want to keep chatting with you all, but I really need to go. It's been so great! I promise I'll be back later in the month and we can pick up the conversation then.

Thanks, everyone!

I never know what I'll be up to next. There are several characters that are impatient to be introduced to you and I'm seeing what they have to say. :) Sign up for my special list and I'll be sure to send you a note when I have a new story. It's the ONLY way to make sure you know, so I'd love it if everyone signed up.

I think when life is tough, the tough people learn to be resourceful. Penryn has always had it hard, and I think everything in her life contributed to her learning to be resourceful.

End of Days is dedicated to readers who are like Penryn who've had it tough at home and who are being fire forged into something beyond who they thought they could ever be.

157649 Okay, I think I need to go soon. I'll pick out a couple of further questions at random and then I need to go. I wish I could chat with everybody!! But the day is fast disappearing, and I still need to write today.

157649 Maellou wrote: "Hi,
so I'm 19, I live in France...The whole time Raffe thought (view spoiler), was he thinking a lot about her ?"

A lot. I wrote some of it. I thought it would be in World After, but I had to cut it out for various reasons. One of the reasons is that Raffe was very resistant to showing that to the public. I wanted it in, he wanted it out. He won the argument.

I'd love to go to France. Feel free to harass my French publisher into bringing me there. ;)

Hello Olga, thank you! Panama sounds so exotic. It's fun to know I have readers there. I think of big hats and big bridges. :) Would love to go sometime.

157649 Sarah wrote: "Hi Susan! Something I found intriguing about these books was how the angels were depicted as more "evil" and wicked compared to how they're usually depicted (pure/good). What inspired you to go that route?"

Biblical angels can be pretty hardcore. They're involved in city-wide and world-wide destruction, they're in stories of people being turned into pillars of salt...you don't mess with angels. These are not your grandma's cute ceramic angels. :)

Your scenes in contrast come really close to how it really works!"

Thank you! I'm so happy that the fight scenes are believable. A black belt friend advised me on the fight scenes for the books.

I took a zombie survival class as part of my research for the Penryn & the End of Days series. No joke. It was the closest thing to an apocalyptic situation that I could find. And it was fun. :) How could an editor think that anything I wrote after that was foolish? Heh heh heh...

I think Angelfall is out in German. I'm fairly sure that World After is probably out in German as well, and I expect that End of Days will be out within a year after it's out in English. :)
