Well hardeehaha Terri Beth Perry!! :P
I listened to most of the first book on my twenty hour raodtrip with my cousin and dad. In fact we were listening to it when we hit the biggest cow you ever did see. All I can say is that I am very thankful for bullbars and seatbelts. Luckily we were in the ute and the bullbar absorbed most of the impact and my dad is the best driver ever so no one was hurt (except the poor cow). An eventful experience to share with Harry. I mean I think we went through more than Harry did as we also hit a wallaby, got pulled over by the cops (random rbt, we were dry so all good) and got very, very lost).
I really love the idea of a 24 hour readathon! We would have to really try and make it when it suits everyone. Any suggestions for when? :)
The hashtag idea is awesome! I'll try and come up with something creative for ours. I'm so glad that you are going to join in! :) xo
Hello my wonderful friends! I have something very exciting to announce... As of August this year I will be re-reading the Harry Potter series. The decision came from a nearly three year period of not reading it, as well as a long deserved holiday with my cousin in North Queensland starting July 31st (coincidence? I think not). We have always shared our adoration for Harry and his heroics and are extremely excited to be re-reading all of the books again.
So there I was thinking about Harry, books and the sun, and I realised that I would love to share the experience with all of you lovely people.
What will it involve you ask?
Well I'm thinking at this point it will be similar to our monthly read-alongs with the break downs of sections of the books. I'm hoping to maybe include some quizzes, challenges and games, but that will depend on how many people want to join in. This readathon won't be structured as such, and you are all certainly welcome to read through at your own pace.
So whether you are reading the series for the first time or, like me, the bajillionth time, read it with us. Let us know how you are going with your journey on here or with #Harryathon2015 on Twitter and/or Instagram.
If you're interested and keen to join in, let me know by messaging me or leaving a comment on this forum. Also, if you have any suggestions (see above sentence). :D xo
Deidre(Dee) ~Young At Heart Mom~ wrote: "This book was so good from start to finish. I loved the twins-Cather and Wren, and their exploits in school, and at home. The relationship between Cather and Levi, was interesting, to say the least."I liked their relationship but don't really think that it would have worked out IRL. They're just so different.
Shelleen wrote: "I laughed out loud and I listened to this on audiobook. Levi had me laughing several times. I especially burst out laughing when they talked about a double wedding and picking out dresses and he sa..."YES!! I laughed so much at that too!
Daniela wrote: "This book was so funny! This was the first book I've read by rainbow rowell and now I love her books! seriously this book was so relatable ughh at the beginnig I really liked nick, so bad he turned ..."Same for me too! I kind of had a weird feeling about Nick from a bit in. He creeped me out a tad, especially because he wouldn't walk her home
I thought I'd add this topic as a space where you all can feel free to add any suggestions to improve the group or any challenges, read-alongs or quests that you think we should do. Get creative! :D xo
Great job, you finished the June buddy read! Now let's discuss it!Please note that this discussion forum WILL include spoilers, so if you have yet to read or finish the book, look away now or forever hold your peace...
Let us know where you are up to in the book and whether you are enjoying it or not so far. No spoilers yet! :)
