In this Wild Write, I would like you to rewrite a fairy tale I a brand new way... give it a different twist, write the second part to a fairy tale or just write a new one following the same structure as another - it's your choice.

In all works of fiction we need characters and the characters need names, so let's play the NAME GAME!This game is very simple, I'll start with a name and then the next person writes a name beginning with the last letter of the name above. (e.g. Peter might precede Robert, which precedes Tobias, with the next starting with S). Try not to reuse names that have already appeared.
After a while we'll get to some pretty unique names - feel free to use these names in your stories when you're stuck for a name.

Travis, I should have also mentioned that I have some of your books on my shelf.I love "Dark Heart: Images of a City", it had a comic book feel to it with the vigilante, but also put across some powerful messages about our world. Loved it! I'm hoping to find your other two Dark Heart books to see how the story continues.
I also read "Jack Majors: Superhero". That was excellent too. I think because it was a superhero based in Melbourne, Australia. The book I'm reading now, "Vanguard Prime: Goldrush" is written by an Australian author, but for some reason it's set in America (well, it doesn't actually state it, because their base in mobile, but you get the feeling that it is). I'm finding the characters too generic; like there's a Wonder Woman character, Superman/Captain America character and a Batman kind of character, while the main character is like the Flash - except he's a kid. He seems to be grasping his powers really quickly too. That's the thing I like about Jack Majors - he's just a kid and he's learning about his powers and making mistakes along the way. You should write a second one.

This is a great beginning (or end) to a story. The characters surnames wouldn't happen to be "Wayne" and "Grayson" would they? ;)
Hi Jess, welcome aboard. I've put together a few different writing challenges, but there'll be many more coming up. Hopefully we get more members that will contribute. Let me know if there's anything that you think should be added.
