That's what helped me. I went to my best bud about certain pages and he clarified the basics and then I was on a roll.

I haven't read anything beyond excerpts by Alice Bailey - she was really cool! Totally underrated in the general occult/Thelemic world. I think if Crowley had endorsed her she might have been respected today.

Same! I've been revising and writing so many essays at the moment as its finals here. School gets in the way of everything! XD I've not read Promethea! Adding it to my reading wish list (I'm assuming you mean the comic/graphic novel?)

Not read that book either! The universal deck was my 5th deck actually!! I have a replacement at the moment though. The deck is great, but I fell out of love with Waite's bad editing skills for general books XD

Learn what you can and be objective. A lot of people will read these things and believe so much that they'll bypass authors because Crowley didn't like them at one point in his life XD. There is always something to learn :D

Both have a lot to offer! Most folks have their personal roots into both. I wouldn't recommend Regardie, D. Fortune and a few blogs and 'Liber ABA' :D

Sorry I haven't been around. Studying is taking it's toll at the moment, but I'm savouring every moment I get at uni as I'm finishing my second year very soon.
