. . . not too soon, dan! . . . helpful for reservations . . . the consensus among this year's attendees was that folks would like to go back to the roslyn area perhaps . . . cliff jumping and cooper lake were big hits . . .
. . . love for the newcomers this year: brock, elizabeth, gloria, les, and his amazing bandmates! . . .we love you . . . and of course love to all the old standbys . . . aren't we lucky to have a guaranteed blissful week once a year?
. . . okay, so is there an actual street name and number i can punch into my gps . . . because i can't just use county road 98, and it can;t find fuller lake . . .?
. . . actually, i was on lopez island when they made their only non-tribal stop to be on "west coast live"!
. . . west of here is 2011, but you read it in 2010, danny boy . . .. . .matt, two others that are on my TBR list that i've heard really good things about:
john sayles a moment in the sun, and michael crummey's galore . . .
okay, so i've got a bingo set, and some white elephant gifts . . . brock and i will stop and get a few cases of beer on our way up . . .anybody who is driving got a little green bud? you know me, i like to self-medicate!
. . . yo, matt, here's a few of my favs from this year:zazen by vanessa veselka
the sisters brothes - by patrick dewitt
the art of fielding by chad harbach (comes out in sept)
american masculine by shann ray
. . . irving has taken a nosedive since his sweet spot . . . his books are all about 200 pages too long, and his characters are getting repetitive along with his themes . . . i'd agree with roth, too . . .
. . .okay, i bought a bingo set that is a little more portable for the trip! . . . everybody needs to bring a WHITE ELEPHANT GIFT for drunk bingo!!!!
. . . sounds like a love-in to me . . . how do you and your friends look in a giraffe night shirt and no undies? . . . you may end up in a calendar!
. . .p.s. sean, it makes perfect sense to me that you'd love waugh . . .one of the funniest writers EVER! . . . strangely, the work he's best remembered for (brideshead)is among my least favorite . . . love love love a handful of dust, and black mischief (in spite of its decidedly non-PC skew)!
