For this Week's book we have chosen an old classic book, foundation of Fantasy works, long before Fantasy was even a thing. Lets hope you enjoy it!
As always remember to join our channel to discuss this book and whatever other topic you fancy.
See you around!

Hello good people! After a brief talk among the channel regulars we found a new book for the first quarter of August!
Remember also that our channel name has had a little change, its now ##books with two #, so please come join us and talk about this book, or whatever other book you are reading or want to read.
Also, it's not the intention of the group to become "only scifi and fantasy" but its the intention of the group to choose books that the active people chooses to read, so if you want to change what we read, join us and talk us out of genre :D
Yes there's a much more active group of ops. Hopefully we will not need to request anything from them, but if it's ever needed they're there
Recently it has come to our attention that our channel does not follow freenode policies for namespaces, see http://www.freenode-dev.net/policy.sh... , our channel falls into this category. Thus we need to move from #books to ##books, in practice this changes nothing, however it gives us better support from freenode staff in case that we need it.
So, you are all welcome to join us and talk about whatever you are reading whenever you want!

Some of us have already finished reading Three-body Problem, so if you want to join us in discussing it whenever you want please join our irc channel!http://webchat.freenode.net/?nick=boo...

It sounded intriguing and not spacey which turns me off most of the time."
sounds interesting :D
Spinster wrote: "Awesome, Grid. Scifi's not my thing so I think I'll pass but I'm glad if it results in group activity again. Though I do have one new scifi on my tbr list...":D what is it?
My idea is that we propose a book and if some of us read it and discuss it then we propose another book. No time frame just to have a common reference
Some of us at #books have decided that we want to restart the club with some common books to read.we haven't really decided how are we going to choose all the books we are going to suggest, but we just choose one that we wanted to read so we are starting here.
:)
i finished it yesterday too, and i also found the ending... dissapointing. It feels like it ended two chapters before it should
As it was announced last month, the book club doesnt have a proper book recommendation for this month, so we will instead engourage our members to comment on any book they read this month in this thread. The objective is simple, to keep any of you who has an interest on sharing with other people, and to try to figure out a way to increase interaction between us :D
So, read a book!
