153078 I'm reading Veronika Decides to Die by Paulo Coelho. I've never read his most famous, The Alchemist, which I hear is his best but so far this one is pretty interesting.

153078 I decided on this for my S.A. choice. So far pretty interesting.

153078 OOOOO I used to have a card from NYPL but I'm guessing they probably changed it by now lol.

I currently have two from 2 different states so I guess I need to drive around to the surrounding towns here to collect. Do you find though when you search through overdrive that it only searches one library and not the others....or is that just my luck lol?

153078 I wouldn't know how to get pirated anything if it smacked me in the face lol. I am not the greatest with tech advances haha.

153078 Well, I won't be much use because it seems I've only read one YA or adult book published in '94, which was Girl Interrupted (which is also listed as published in '93 so I'm not sure). However, I have the following books on my to read list from '94 but I'm not sure if you're interested in them but here ya go: The Quiet Room: A Journey Out of the Torment of Madness, Lori Schiller; Prozac Nation, Elizabeth Wurtzel & Girl Missing, Tess Gerritsen. Sorry I'm not much help lol.

153078 Shucks! It's so darn expensive for 1 credit. Then I'm always unsure if I want to "waste" that credit so I end up hoarding them lol. There's some audiobook sites but they all seem to be the same. I'll keep you posted if I learn of anything new :)

153078 Hey All,

I'm curious where everyone finds their free ebooks or audiobooks. I normally borrow my ebooks through my library or kindle unlimited but if they aren't there I am clueless where else to get them. For audiobooks, I also use my library's borrow feature and had an account with Audible but I feel like it's a waste of money. Any help would be appreciated....pretty please!

Thank you,
Cristine

153078 I apologize if I already posted this question somewhere but I can't find it anywhere. If part of a story takes place in Africa, can it be applied to this category or does the entire story need to take place here?

May 17, 2016 08:23PM

153078 Loved this book. Dying to read Scarlet but there's four people ahead of me to rent it as an ebook from overdrive :(

153078 I just finished Cinder the other day and really liked it. Totally not the normal type of book I would read but sure glad I did. Definitely recommend it. :)
Mar 26, 2016 11:35PM

153078 I think I will join those reading A Clockwork Orange. It's been on my "to read" list for quite some time. :)
Mar 19, 2016 11:21AM

153078 Hahaha that's for sure. :)
Mar 19, 2016 02:07AM

153078 Whoops, you can disregard that. It's Bc I was on the ap and not on the regular site. :)
Mar 19, 2016 01:58AM

153078 By any chance, do you have this somewhere that you could send me the list so I could check them off for myself? I tried to copy and paste and it won't let me!! :(
Mar 19, 2016 01:53AM

153078 I just realized everyone is a teacher lol. I'm not. I'm an athletic counselor in a college. Since I entered this field, my work hours are insane and I have very little time to read for myself (or do anything else for that matter lol) . I've been trying to find a way to get back to being the avid reader I was many moons ago and have made slight progress but definitely not enough. Thank heavens for audio books too so I can listen on my commute and pick up where I left off. I'm always looking for recommendations so I'm happy to be part of this group. Feel free to add me as well. :)
