I just read The School Friend.
Didn't understand it.

[spoilers removed]"Yeah, it's always funny to read books with these broke nobles who are too good to make money and look down on people who do. Hurray for capitalism!

I read Persuasion. Definitely liked it less than Pride and Prejudice. There was less humor.

I've read Over Sea, Under Stone and The Dark is Rising now.
Both were pretty good but when they start moving back and forth in time to do things it always seems a little dumb to me. Why not just get it done before all this trouble starts? I'm probably the only sci-fi fan who doesn't really like time travel.
Pam wrote: "I want to read the book but will have to wait! Scary doesn’t bother me. I can’t keep up with the pace in this group! I’m still reading Solaris. I keep getting distracted by other books."I understand. I probably won't get to this until next month.

I finished. I'm so glad I finally read this one!

The rabbit in the moon is a thing in eastern mythology:

Now we have the Efrafa
(view spoiler)[Fascist bunnies. or maybe we could call them covid bunnies since fear was the beginning of their control.
This is reminding me a lot of Animal Farm showing different dystopian societies. (hide spoiler)]"'Animals don't behave like men.' He said. ' If they have to fight they fight; and if they have to kill they kill. But they don't sit down and set their wits to work to devise ways of spoiling other creatures' lives and hurting them. They have dignity and animality.'"
I love this. How do you add something to My Quotes again?

Yeah, I don't know what Kehaar's accent is supposed to be.

I'm only about a third of the way through but it's a good read so far. I knew this wasn't a kid's story but the fact that it's happening to bunnies just makes it have a unique impact.
Fiver is kind of a crazy prophet. He and Hazel make me think of Moses and Aaron.
(view spoiler)[The rabbits in the warren they come to that Fiver doesn't trust remind me of the Eloi from The Time Machine. They know they could be picked off but accept it because they have an easy life. (hide spoiler)]

He clearly did his research on rabbit behavior. And I like the Lapine language is fun.

I just started. Been meaning to read this for years.

I read the collection a year or two ago. It was a good story but not my favorite in the book.
