152301 What did you read this week? It's Not About Perfect: Competing for My Country and Fighting for My Life

This memoir is devoted to...Shannon Miller's memoir about gymnastics and cancer.

Did you enjoy the book? Yes.

Did you learn something interesting about life or people? Yes. I grew up watching Shannon Miller compete at the Olympics and so it was interesting to read about it and how they helped her battle with cancer.

What kinds of nonhuman characters are in the book? A doy (Enzo).

Did you enjoy the book? Yes, I don't know why I didn't read this when it came out. It was great.

Would you recommend this title? Yes.

Did you enjoy the book? Yes, the descriptions were amazing.

Do you think the book deserved an award? Absolutely.

Are your interested in reading another Pulitzer winner? Possibly. After looking at the list the play I read was a winner and I liked it.

152301 This book had bad reviews on here and was available at my local library. I have never ready anything by Alice Sebold, but had heard good things about The Lovely Bones. This book never did flow and the ending was terrible.

What was the subject of the book? Based on World War II experience of Louis Zamperini.

Did you enjoy the book? Yes

Tell us something true about this story. This was based on Louis Zamperini's World War II experience as a POW, it was very interesting. Not something I would have normally read.
