Liz, I read all 3 books. I'm not very good with audio. My brain focuses better with words. I have a hard time doing recorded lectures for class as it is. I would zone out often. Plus, reading allows me to absorb things at my own rate. I would hate to rewind parts on audio if I missed something.

I don't mind a good zombie book, or has elements of them. In this case, it just wasn't for me. I'll have to keep reading Cat and Bones to see how zombies are written in that series.

I love FictFact for the release calendar. Keeps me notify of books coming out.

For me it was . My review here. I'm not bothering with book 2, book 1 was annoying enough. Mind you, the book has high ratings, I'm just the odd one out but you can read for yourself if you're in to high school kids and zombies.

For the YA/fantasy crowd, I highly suggest Daughter of Smoke & Bone series by Laini Taylor. It's only 3 books. I pretty much binge read this whole thing. The writing is great, love the characters, and the books will set your imagination on fire. At least it did for me. I haven't read a lot of YA so there's not much for comparisons, but this is high up even on my favorite series of all time list. Hollywood has been diving into the whole YA-books turned movies lately, and this is one series where I think it would be great to see on the big screen.
