This is one of my favourite books! Though I haven't yet listened to the audiobook. I hope I will someday soon!

147920 I was thinking if anyone here would be interested in a buddy-read for The Tattooist of Auschwitz?
4 of us at the WhatsApp group are planning to read it this weekend, so if anyone here wants to join in then I can create a thread here too!

Also, in case if anyone wants to host a buddy-read, then please feel free.

Dagny and Cheryl - Even I will try and read this one seeing as Cheryl said that it is kind of like Lovecraft's writing. Thanks for the recommendation!

147920 Seeing as the lockdowns are going to be extended in most of the places, I think it is increasingly getting difficult for everyone to hang on there (it is certainly getting on to my nerves now), so I think a really good way is to read new books. As books are not very readily available everywhere, let's share whatever we have with others.

You can do it through drives or directly by sharing source links or through emails - whatever suits you.

Let us help each other in getting through these tough times.

147920 #18 Those People by Louise Candlish - 3/5
A great read but the author completely botched up the ending.

#19 Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind by Yuval Noah Harari - 1/5 - DNF - it was too much for me right now.

Hey Fran, I can relate. Sometimes anxiety overwhelms me too so I avoid most interactions. Please don't worry about it. Take your time and post whenever you like it and how much ever you feel comfortable sharing. We all love you and look forward to reading your recommendations!!

Please do let me know how was Aurora Rising?

147920 #9 The Horse and His Boy by C.S. Lewis - 3/5

I didn't like it as much as I liked the previous books. I am going by the Chronological Order and this was #3, so the next one is Prince Caspian and I'm sure it'll be definitely better than this one.

147920 I'm a big-time anti-social, so I have been distancing myself socially since forever! Though I do go out once a week (very much like you, Dagny.) In this trip, My husband, Vishal and I watch 2 movies back to back followed by a nice lunch and coffee and then dinner.
I don't much miss going out to eat as I started my new diet two months ago and have been on mostly home-cooked meals since then, so the only thing I miss is the movie-ritual!!

Wow! You are a hero, Dagny! Thanks for doing this, it makes it so much easier for all of us to read these books because of you and others who do this. Many thanks <3

Once in a while it might be from an updated edition of the book, with new material or something added. Mostly though I've just found it to be the same version but with different reader(s)."

That makes sense. Thanks for explaining it to me. I was wondering about this ever since I saw two versions of Jeckyl and Hide book and was thinking if I was missing out on something by not going for the 2nd version.

I was also having this trouble yesterday, but it seems to be working fine today. Maybe it was a technical glitch after all.
