1. Watch Me by Jody Gehrman - 4/5A very fast-paced book and it was a perfect read until all of a sudden it ended on a very lame note. Last 4 pages ruined the entire ending for me. I wish the author had maintained the pacing in the ending but well... Though the overall book (other than the ending) was really, really good!

Thanks for reminding, Cheryl. It totally slipped my mind!

Hey, Cheryl, welcome to the challenge. Even I have The Woman in Cabin 10 on my TBR. Maybe even I'll read it this month.
Yep, I remember the one you recomended for Christmas last year or the year before and it had me crying for sometime (the one with the poor boy and his dog in which both die.)
Dagny, Bare Bones' blurb is very impressive! And the author is a forensic anthropologist herself... wow, the book would be perfect on details. And I'm thinking that it might actually be very good for research purpose as well. Looking forward to knowing your afterthoughts.
I've just received a classic book's audiobook and I was wondering if anyone here knows about it - Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm.
Forgot to share this earlier, here's the thread for the next month's genre challenge: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
3. All That Remains - 3/5I fell in love with this book's cover and immediately requested it from NetGalley after I read the blurb and came to know that it was a zombie-type dystopian story. It wasn't bad, it was just too predictable (not the part where the zombies turn out to be aliens or something but otherwise it was all too predictable.) Overall the characterization felt weak but I'm giving 3 stars for the pacing, it was pretty good and kept me reading in spite of these flaws.
Dagny wrote: "That's the first Dan Brown book I read and the one that hooked me on him! "It is the same novel that made him a best-selling author too! I read this one when I was 16 and just started reading main-stream fiction, but at that time I wasn't able to fully appreciate the main plot. I'm really looking forward to reading this one.
I have a couple lined up for this month:Five Rivers Met on a Wooded Plain
The Choices We Make
Watch Me
Imperfect Love
Kaitlin's Mooring
The Da Vinci Code
1. The Boxcar Baby - 2/5I managed to read this before I could finish the one I actually planned for this. I fell in love with the illustrations on the cover of this book but it wasn't good at all :(
2. Spencer's Risk - 4/5
A nice and light read. Author's sense of humour was great and I enjoyed it.
1. Sleeping Beauties - 3/5Not as good as I expected :(
2. The Boxcar Baby - 2/5
A disappointing read. I have the whole series and I was really excited about it, but there is so much telling that it's more irritating than anything. Plus, the story progression is way off that should be allowed in an edited book. Anyway, I'm sure as hell not continuing with this series.
So far I haven't had any luck with any of the books I've read for this month, but I do have another two (that I hope I can finish in time.)
Dagny wrote: "It Can't Happen Here, for anyone else interested is available at Project Gutenberg - Australia: http://gutenberg.net.au/plusfifty-a-m..."Thanks for the link, Dagny, I've downloaded it and hopefully will be able to read it this year itself :)

I have had that book on my TBR list for so long that I can't even imagine. And the worst part is I have that book but it got packed in one of the boxes that are yet to be opened while I was shifting home last year. So I missed it this year as well.
I wish I had read it, we could have discussed it then.
