Chloe's laughter was contagious,.and Will started to laugh too, startling Snowdrop.

"I'm amazing," Celia said proudly. "I should be rewarded and be a respected scientist or philosopher because my theory is flawless."

"If I ever got a swan," Will told her, "I'd probably call it Swan."

"I mean, you get up early for classes, don't you?" Celia asked. "I believe I just proved me theory."

"Sure, but not willingly," Celia shrugged. "Any other reason for getting up early is a horrible reason, and probably brings sadness."

"Fair enough," Will said, smiling. "Not like I'd do any better, though."

"The only time I wake up early," Celia said. "Is if it's Christmas, or my birthday."

Will chuckled. "Nice name. Very original."

"Golden tinted?" Will let out a low whistle. "That sounds pretty awesome."

Will continued to pet Snowdrop, thinking. He liked Chloe, and if the acrobats his stomach were doing was any indication, he liked her a lot. The problem was, he couldn't ask her out; they'd only just met, and besides, Will didn't want to complicate things. He felt that Chloe needed a friend, not a boyfriend. So Will stubbornly pushed his feelings aside, determined. "Do black swans actually exist? Like, I only ever see white ones, but I feel like black ones exist." Will grasped onto the first thought that entered his mind to break the silence.

"Sunsets?" Celia asked, pursing her lips in thought. "Much better than sunrises. Much too early for me, thanks."

Will grinned ever wider as Chloe's blush deepened. A few seconds of silence passed; and Will suddenly realized how close they were sitting. Removing his arm around her shoulders and leaning forward to pet Snowdrop again, Will considered the odd twirls and flips his stomach was making.

After a while of Celia talking, and talking, and talking, and yet even
more talking, she stopped. "Okay. I've talked for quite a bit, and I've barely learned anything about you. So, your turn to talk. Anything at all of note about yourself."

Will grinned. He loved making people blush, and for some reason, causing Chloe to blush was even more fun.

"Thanks," Will said, winking at her.

Celia felt proud to have made Breeze laugh (
she has a very nice laugh a part of her brain whispered). "Much thanks," Celia said, grinning.

"I'm sure if the color was a sentient being it'd say thanks," Will mused.

"Thanks," Will said. "I guess. Is thanks an appropriate response to that?"

"Sounds pretty," Again, Will had to restrain from saying, '
like you. "Mine's a really dark green."

Will frowned a bit at that, but decided not to pursue that train of thought. "So, Captain Chloe, what's your favorite color?"
