I enjoyed this very much and rated it 4 stars.

I gave it 4 stars, a charming comfort read. I really like the Elizabeth Fair books.

Sadly it is not my favourite - I liked Less Than Angels and also Jane and Prudence more.

Finished yesterday, February 14, 4 stars ..."
I'm so glad you enjoyed it Susan, it was one of my picks and I'm really looking forward to reading it!

I enjoyed it very much, endearing characters and a lovely story. It was my first Molly Clavering.

I gave it 4 stars, it was a good mystery with a charming protagonist. I'd like to read the others in the series if they get reprinted. I know the last one has.

Even though I read it about 5 years ago I forgot that it was Sugden!! I thought it was Hilda and was really hoping that it wasn't.
I also laughed at Poirot's moustache envy.

Thank you Carol and I've just seen the Poirot thread.
Also thank you very much for all the organising of the book pool.

I was reading A Winter Away but have given up for now. I still want to finish it but I'm more in the mood for reading Christmas murder mysteries at the moment!
I've also just noticed that I Capture the Castle is in the Pool. I reread that in July but forgot to add it. One of my all time favourite books.

Thank you very much Carol.

Ok here I go.
1. Jane's Country Year by [author:Malcolm ..."
That's good to know Tania, thank you. I kept seeing it doing the rounds this summer and it sounded very good.

Edited to add
1) E. M. Forster Howards End
2) Moray Dalton The Mystery of the Kneeling Woman: A Golden Age Mystery
3) Celia Fremlin Uncle Paul
4) Daphne du Maurier The Parasites
5) Stella Gibbons The Matchmaker

I think CCF is the weakest of her books that I've read so far. A shame that that's the one she's known for.
Enjoyed your review of Business as Usual. Moving that book up the tbr.

I really enjoyed this comedy of manners despite not really liking any of the characters but I love Stella Gibbons's writing and would read this again.
