Hey lostinpages, welcome! 👋❤️

Roman Mythology is definitely super interesting! This month the theme in our Themed Book Chat is actually Mythology Retellings. Maybe you could share some good books you have read? 😊

If you haven't already, check out the "Welcome New Members" thread. There should be plenty of information there on how to settle into this group 🥰 Let me (or any of the other mods) know if you have any questions!

Looking forward to many good reading adventures with you! 📚✨

139735 Okay so Donna gave a lot of helpful answers. I have to finish the book I am currently reading and then I'll get around to reading a book for this. I am aiming to have it finished on Friday and then we can get a new quest 😊 Sorry if you have had to wait for me for this one!

139735 Wow, thank you! I'll definitely check some of these ones out. I looked a bit around in my bookshelves at home and found The Secret Garden, I think it could also work. I'll sleep on it and see tomorrow which one of these I want to read most :)

139735 Donna, I was wondering, for this task:

Read a book with nature or seasons as a metaphor for cycles of death and rebirth.

I am having a hard time conceptualizing it, and there aren't any books (on my TBR or not) that come to mind. I was wondering if you could give me an example book so that I could see how it would work and understand the task better. Thank you in advance and sorry if I'm being a bit of a dimwit! 😅

139735 Thanks! I didn't realize until now that I posted the question in the wrong Q&A thread. Sorry!

139735 But I'll try to find something since I'm the only one that hasn't contributed yet for this task :)

139735 Sorry, I have been super busy with travelling. I came home from holiday three days ago and have been having a hard time getting my routines back in place. But from now on I am back and will be better at updating and answering.

I will look around my TBR a bit, but I feel like this is a hard task that you can't really know if it fits until you have read the book...

Hey Shandra, welcome! 👋❤️

I am so sorry for my late response, I saw your message while I was out and thought I would respond when I got home, but then I completely forgot about it! 😣

Wow, the Great Smoky Mountains! You must have some fantastic hiking trails nearby! I actually have a wildlife camera for fun, and sometimes I go out to the forest and set it up for the night. I find it sooo exciting to check it and see all the animals that have walked by!

Oof, horror and thrillers... I am very easily scared, so these some of the only genres I try to stay away from. But it's great to know that you enjoy them!

139735 Teresa, could I join your relaxed non-competitive team? 😉
139735 I read the first three chapters today, and so far I love it! It is such a cute and comforting read, and I think it will get 5 stars. I wish I could take a trip to the HC library and get a recommendation from Ms Kowachi 🥰 Can’t wait to read the rest tomorrow

139735 Haha, I’ve always been obsessed with organisation and planning. My sister always teases me saying I spend more time planning things than actually doing them, but I beg to differ 😅🤣
139735 I’ll be starting this book tomorrow
